I felt the same way about Mac & Me. I was about 9 and my family decided to take a trip, we stayed at some motel, they had basic cable, late night I saw this weird ass movie, like E.T. but ...different. Anyway, I would get weird flashbacks from time to time about the movie but being older I always chalked it up to those kinds of dreams where something is based on reality, like a person or place, but your mind later fills in the rest in a dream. Until I saw Brandon mention it. There was this other movie I remember about a robot that was supposed to be this one kid's friend I think, but was going around killing other people including kids. It would show the point of view of the other robot/cyborg thing and it looked all pixilated...? This one was a horror movie if I'm not mistaken. Looking for it but I don't remember, saw it the same night, it's been about 25 years.

@Mike Paul I mean Michael Richards is best known for starship troopers and wild things. After that she was pretty much only known as Charlie Sheen's girlfriend/wife. Sure Paul Walker went on to a much more successful career right up to his unfortunate death. but I feel like by the end of the early 2000's Denise Richards was basically forgotten. Unfortunately beyond her hotness there wasn't really anything there. Once that was gone nobody cared.

@@SwiftNimblefoot Uh, Germany censored absolutely everything back then and banned pretty much everything from Terminator to Rambo to Nightmare on Elm Street. All you got on TV usually was the censored down versions with all the good parts removed (Sex was fine though, even Schulmädchen Report 3 with its underage rape scenes was shown on Sat 1 uncut all the time and nobody gave a shit but once a bit of blood was shown it was game over). Tammy was shown on RTL in 1998 at like 4 in the morning exactly once and never again, because the Landesmedienanstalt instantly went mad at them. I mean come on it's the same country that went into a meltdown in 1995 when some old morons realized that kids were watching wrestling for half a decade and declared the WWF with it's clowns and plumber to be "dangerous" and "too violent".

The animatronic Rex was most likely bound for Dinosaur World. I went there a few times as a kid, and I remember the moving T-Rex above most all else. That was before '94, though, so I'm guessing this was a replacement for the one they had.

There was some guy in Granbury, TX who bought a few animatronic dinosaurs and tried to start a theme park. Like a tiny one on his personal property. I forgot the name of it, but Granbury is near a town (Glen Rose) that's primary tourist attraction is Dinosaur Valley State Park. Don't know if he's still doing his thing tho. It wasn't a viable business plan.

I did some hard research on the fate of the animatronic Rex and *MIGHT* have an answer. In 1993 Texas opened "Grand Slam Canyon" which was known as Adventuredome and many other names. One area in it featured animatronic dinosaurs. I have no hard proof that's where this Rex ended up, but it's likely that after the shooting in the movie, they needed to re-skin it, so it'd look completely different. Again, no hard proof, but it's a theme park that was active in Texas in 1994 with animatronic dinosaurs.
