The guy who played Popeye is the famous Hong Kong character actor and TV host Eric Tsang, who is most famous for playing the triad boss in Infernal Affairs.

The Doctor Who rip-off was actually the main character from the show "Kung Fu". It should be noted, though, that "Kung Fu" was a show that was based on an idea of Bruce Lee's, and he was supposed to get the main part. But because they couldn't let a non-white person be the main hero on a show, the role went to David Carradine instead. In other words, Bruce Lee is basically interacting with a character in this movie that should have been him. Wrap your head around that one.

Pretty sure "Asian Doctor Who" is supposed to be Caine from "Kung Fu." But, hey, it's all good...

A great idea made with limited resources but fun all the same. Go to back up those who pointed out the blind guy is Zatoichi the blind swordsman of the popular Japanese movie series of the time and the guy at the end with the beard may also have been Toshiro Mifune's character from the Yojimbo movies (who actually fought Zatoichi in one his later movies) - I think this idea would have worked much better as a comic book though....I wonder if someone has already made it? If not it's there's an open challenge..

I think Doctor Who is supposed to be David Carradine's character in Kung Fu - Kwai Chang Caine. Since that was a 70's TV series, and it's based off of a treatment created by Bruce Lee, it makes more sense than the Doctor or Indiana Jones.

That is weird they didn't cast that guy as him in this movie yet showed him fighting the fake Bruce Lee where you can really notice that.

The 3rd leg of Bruce Lee, was originally supposed to be an insult when he went to Hong Kong . He 1st saw how the Shaw Bros did their movies and he didn’t care about how they did their fighting , too much flying around and such. So he went to golden Harvest. And the directors and other film actors thought he wasn’t any good because he only had 3 kicks ( 3 rd leg of Bruce Lee or a 3 Trick Pony ) until he made his 1st movie and he showed that you don’t need to fly around and show a little bit of realism. And he was challenged off screen into fights as well. And the whole drug and women problems when he was alive is complete horseshit! Like one of the commentors mentioned here. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Actually the real Bruce Lee did have a problem with sleeping around.. So that part was accurate there at least.. ( He also had a drug problem that lead to his death sadly... Well I should say it helped contribute to it. He had a major problem that required surgery but he never had it done.. The hash made it worse. )

I did see No Retreat, No Surrender years ago with friends while we got drunk and when the Ghost of Bruce Lee showed up I said, "Bruce Lee? That guy looks more like Sulu."
