One of the reasons why this scene is so damn terrifying in my opinion is that she clearly knows that Brandon is something "supernatural" and she knows the fact that he could easily kill her there. But he chose not to since he loves her. It reminds me of the scene with Omni-Man and William from Invincible where William was nervous because he's talking with Omni-Man for the first time despite him not knowing that the hero was actually questioning him and came close to dying without even realizing it.

Honestly, I would've liked it if there was a survivor in the plane crash. Minutes later, we see a child, and they were around the same age as Brandon. Their eyes glowed whatever color you can think of. They look up, see him in his Brightburn outfit, and have a look of rage.

If they ever decide to make a Brightburn 2, they should have Brandon and Caitlyn fight each other as adults. Brandon broke her hand and killed her mom. That's enough for him to be her nemesis right there.

Here's my take: Brandon's foster father just had 'the talk' with Brandon and told him it was acceptable to satisfy urges once in a while. HE meant masturbation, but Brandon took it literally. Brandon showed up at Caitlyn's house because he had a crush on her. Brandon may not have known 'what' he wanted to do. Boys really don't think about that; they just do. Caitlyn freaked out because 1) Her room was on the 2nd floor and he could only get there by flying!! 2) The look of intent on Brandon's face DID seem perverted to her!

Really? Flowers? Flowers for breaking her hand? That's it? A simple apology would've been nice. He didn't even say he was sorry, he just showed up with flowers, expecting her to forgive him. Brandon didn't even look remorseful. Unhinged, maybe, but not remorseful. You can tell Caitlyn is afraid of him in this scene. And the scary part is...he knew it.

The child may come across as unsettling, but when he began behaving differently, everyone began to distanced themselves from the boy and his parents tried to kill him. If people had shown him love and kindness, perhaps he could have changed.

And they're saying that Brandon and Caitlyn will be like evil Superman vs good Lex Luthor,but one thing that has to taken into consideration is that Superman always pulls his punches. Unless they develop Brandon's and Caitlyn's romantic relationship to the point that Brandon holds back enough and that Caitlyn makes weapons out of the pieces of his ship,this final fight will end up being diagnosed with "Speedster syndrome"-nerfed because of the plot,because Brandon(Superman) could easily speedblitz Caitlyn(Lex Luthor)and not even kill her but just subdue her
