Love this because the truth don't lie. There are so many people in this world that suffer from mental health issues or disorders. They need a powerful support system to get through this disorder. Critics are no needed, but prayer is the weapon. Thanks Brandy!

I don't believe Brandy is underrated, she's just not appreciated as much because she's special. Brandy is an acquired taste, her voice, lyrics and music have such depth and quality that you have to be in a certain space to receive. She's like an expensive wine that only seasoned connoisseurs understand and appreciate.

@@Morning404 Thanks! I notice this throughout the album. The way she conveys changing moods, love/hate feelings, highs/lows, strength/weakness in her songs. She made me feel like I was actually in the mind of someone struggling with mental health instead of listening to a song. I've struggled with it so it felt very familiar. I don't know how intentional it is but the theme of the album seems very detailed. It's Brandy though so I wouldn't expect less. She's amazing!

Yes but not by the music industry. Singers in the industry call her 'The Vocal Bible' because of her vocal techniques (stacking, running, riffing). She literally uses her voice as an instrument to produce whatever vocal flavor she wants. Many artists out today are greatly influenced by her vocal abilities. She's not even showing them all here. Borderline cuts like a knife! When your mental state goes south over love, that's a special kinda pain. The vocal nuances in this song give full credence to that pain AND the note/cry at 4:19 just seals the entire song for me. Brandy is a masterful vocalist! Weeeell done! On repeat for at least 15 spins whenever I play it!
