That's the key!! Placement. One of Beyonce's background singers from "the Mama's" said she always uses Brandy as her example for someone that doesn't do runs just do em, and will never throw them around anywhere just for the sake of doing so. She's one of the smartest, Interpretive vocalists we have ever had.

This is true af. not to start a stan war, but someone like "christina" could def take notes from Brandy. Brandys runs arent just random notes thrown all over the place. they are intricate, thoughtful, placed well within the chord structure, and always just enough.

Dugazon Soprano, considered a hybrid voice and somewhat of a rarity. I believe Denise Clark, formerly of TCS is also one. They’ve light youthful highs, and dark, thick lows reminiscent of a mezzo. She basically has the natural agility and lightness of a soprano in her upper register, and the timbre of a mezzo from her mid to lower register. She teeters on the fence between soprano and mezzo territory. That’s why her timbre and the quality of her vocal mechanics is so uncanny.
