Gordon Lindsey began following Branham around reporting Williams services in his Voice of Healing news letter. This is where I believe Lindsey found the truth about Branham and he left that ministry altogether believing it to be in error.

Why is this news important for us to know? I don't know anything about this Branham guy except what an old lady told me years ago. She said Branham once held a huge healing service on a race course in a city called Durban in my country South Africa. I also know that there are the eagle people who worship this guy and usually have pictures of him with a halo over his head like on of those Catholic saints. It's not my business to know what this is all about because it doesn't concern me. They say he was the second coming of Jesus and others say he is a false prophet. Some say he is Elijah. I really won't spend sleepless nights over some American evangelical preacher. I don't trust none of you, not since Jimmy Swaggart supported Renamo fighters in Mozambique. I saw many of their victims with noses, lips and ears chopped off. Nor sir, right wing American evangelical preachers are terrifying.
