The first resurrection came with a battery with welded strips from a local store. Now, I decided to use a normal NiMh, without strips, from China. Maybe the first kind of battery is more secure, to avoid to overheat the battery during the welding. Please, notice that original battery is shorten than the new one, you will have to cut some small plastics on the battery socket to allow the installation of the new (and longer) battery, it is too easy. At the moment, a full charge of the new chinese battery last 7 days, working 3 times a day. The dissadvantage of the new battery is the charging time, almost a full day.
En la primera resurrección, utilicé una batería con dos lengüetas ya soldadas a los polos. Esta vez, utilicé una batería NiMh de otro proyecto, comprada directamente a China. La batería con lengüetas permite minimizar el calentamiento de la batería al no soldar sobre los polos. Es importante saber que la batería original es más corta, pero la nueva entra simplemente cortando con un cúter o similar unos tirantes de plastico que tiene el portapilas, es muy fácil. Por el momento, una carga completa de la nueva batería me dura 7 días, con 3 usos diarios. Como desventaja, la nueva batería tarda casi un día en cargarse.

What is so impressive is how much effort Braun took in making it so difficult to change the battery. When you open it up it is easy to see how they could have allowed a part to flip down to give access to the battery. Nice Video.

Thank you very much. I just changed my battery per an Eneloop 2500mah. It works perfectly !

Merci pour la vidéo. J'ai bien réussi à changer ma batterie de brosse à dent grace à vous. Vu que la npuvelle batterie est legerement plus grande, il faut enlever des morceaux en plastique (facile). Verifier que les fils qui partent de la bobine ne sont pas sectionnés. Pour remettre l'anneau (bague) à la fin, j'ai utilisé une clé mixte coté oeil.

It depends, I only waste my time and 2 or 3 euro/dollar.. but you must want to do it, if you do not like these kind of tasks I understand you think it is a lot of time. Imagine now that you want to record it... Repeat some tasks to a better view or to remove when camera falls. But I enjoyed it.

Yes, you are right, if I force the toothbrush the rear hook is broken. Anyway, you can using it. The alternative is to throw it away. I will comment the opening.

Miquel Angel. Hola, lo he probado, pero no me funciona. Me pasa lo siguiente : La bateria de substitución que he conseguido, es de 1.2v i de Ni.Mh pero, los mah, en lugar de ser 1400, son 2500 mah y por mas que he cargado la bateria más de 24 horas, el cepillo hace un ruido muy flojo, como un ronroneo, no consigue poner en movimiento el brazo donde va el cabezal y, ademas, si toco el boton de arranque-paro, esta super caliente. Es posible que sea mucha bateria (2500 mah) para el cepillo y deba buscar una de 1200 o 1400 mah???? Te agradeceria mucho una respuesta si sabes de que puede tratarse. Gracias mil desde Barcelona

Los nuevos cepillos tienen un cargador más lento, por lo que he visto, quizá debas dejarlo más, y más con esa capacidad. Yo las dos baterías que he probado se cargaban bien, pero tardaban más. Suerte!

R U kidding? I've had this for yrs. I'd need $100 bucks of tools to change a $2.00 battery. I had the whole thing apart with a putty knife but not buying a soldering gun, a vise or anything else. I can buy a new brush for less. Waste my time.

You only need a battery and a a soldering iron, you can buy both for less than 10$.. I see your country is an expensive place if you need to pay 100$ to buy these two things. And this is what I do instead of watching TV... Everyone choose how to waste their time. Regards!
