Brave enough to push beyond good enough?

I was at a very low place at the beginning of this year. Struggling to find a gallery that would even give me feedback on my work. I asked abstract artist Jason Anderson if he ever dealt with this in his career and if it made him question everything he was doing with his painting. He gave me some amazing advice. I stumbled across you when looking for direction painting with acrylic on metal (Im going to paint mailboxes when the weather warms up)

Awesome - I painted a mailbox a few years ago using mostly craft acrylic paint and the same techniques in my metal sign video. It held up pretty well… only real issue was the white clouds turned reddish yellow after a summer in the sun. Good luck and I hope you’ll check out some of my other videos :)

I found myself agreeing with you on so many of your thoughts.. the insecurities, the self criticism, questioning, doubting..I love your painting.. I am focused on painting flowers at present, but I amgetting the strong urge to push myself to other subjects.. Thank you for sharing your thoughts..
