A few people are saying Scrapsucker is really good- especially compared to healing. after hearing them out, It totally is!! My apologies!!! Edit: people are also saying ruff’s air support is really good too for its control- i agree, though im sticking with my opinion on take cover- It can be a savior in some situations! Though the choice is yours >:)

I was with you until scrapsucker. Scrapsucker can leave any enemy helpless in a fight and even gives you ammo for a counterattack. Pulse sh'tter or whatever is garbage. It heals like 2 heal ticks only if you are in turret range. It was bad already but lvl 11 made it useless.

Scrapsucker is the only reason that Pam is even somewhat viable

You missed Jacky's rebuild gadget. It's super bad because it covers such a low area, so for every use, you're only gonna rebuild like 3 or 4 walls. Even then, since they were destroyed in the first place, that means there is a brawler in the match that is able to break walls. This technically means they can just break those walls again and put you back in square one.

Air Support is actually really good, especially on knockout and gem grab. You'll only find It around 800+ trophy range so I can see why it's not common knowledge

I think Lou's 1st Gadget is really bad. Sure, one second immunity can be beneficial, but most of the time when this is used is to counter a stun/knockback... only for yourself. However, once the immunity is over, Lou becomes a very easy target. I can really only see this being used in solo modes such as Duels, but even then, Lou is mostly a Hot Zone type of brawler. The other gadget has much more synergy with the rest of his kit too and can be used in a match effectively more often in general. I think this is similar to Poco's gadget in which it has some uses, but only in the right situation, which hardly presents itself.

in my opinion, air support is a really good gadget. I know it rarely does DMG, but Ruffs can use it to make an enemy move to a specific place where Ruffs can easily kill that enemy. this can be really good in some situations I also think that air support is better than take cover. take cover has low health, most brawlers can hit through it and it's easy to hit ruffs even if He is behind take cover

Alright just discovered your channel and the videos are very high quality for a channel this new and I already know that you were told about Scrapsuckers viability but Ruffs’s Air Support gadget is the better one than Take Care due to the area control it gives

air support is cracked, it forces enemies back or in a direction they don't want to go to, letting you pass the ball forward or kick them out of the zone or nearby the gem mine, it is specially useful since many brawlers that pierce through Ruffs sandbags are meta (Buster, Amber, Griff's super, etc) it makes them useless

Acid spray and scrap sucker is not bad or not as bad as some other gadgets, you can argue if air support is too but other than giving control his first gadget overshines it. Scrapsucker I’m not going to talk about it but acid spray can be useful at time where you know what you’re doing. For example in pit stop you’ll mostly face throwers, tanks and other brawlers that are good map wise, but tanks would take way harder to get close to you and throwers would counter you , acid spray does that job exceptionally well since you don’t need that extra protection from close range brawlers , I mostly use it to finish off enemies from walls behind me

The only gadgets I disagree on were Scrap Sucker and Air Support, and since I saw many comments having the same idea, I won't talk about it. But I'm really surprised that you did not put Rotten Banana or Rebuid or Protective Tunes or Sneaky Sneakers or Tool Box to replace the "also bad but not atrocious" gadgets like Acid Spray

In my opinion, the ruffs gadget can be used in certain cases such as when you're playing a map with lots of walls or are going up against a thrower etc

I missed when gadget & SP was obtainable from boxes, it's too expensive now

Honestly dancing flames for amber is good cause you can completely catch your opponent off guard since it goes through walls and deals 2000 damage

In defense of mine mania, it can be useful in power league, when you know for sure that your enemies won't have any "invasive" brawlers (last hurrah would be pretty useless in that scenario) But even then you kinda have to be the last one to pick a brawler, and last hurrah is just great

-Sam's 2nd gadget is hot garbage, why would you push someone away when you are a close range brawler... and also his 1st gadget helps him getting people closer to him. -Meg 2nd gadget's radius is so tiny -Max's 2nd gadget... Agree with almost all on this list, but you missed Poco's 2nd gadget. Its one of worsst gadgets and its not gonna be usefull unless there is Frank or any brawler that can stun during match. And even then, its still pretty bad

Sneaky Sneakers is really predictable regardless of the map or mode. Not only does the user have a halo above their head, but their recall spot is pretty easy to play around. The healing regained after being recalled provides little value besides taking necessary fights around the recall spot, but even then why would anybody use it over Phase Shifter?

Darryls spin gadget is actully pretty good in gamemodes other than hiest because you could charge up another super with the gadget if you hit enough people

I understand most of the gadgets but 2 are definitely wrong. Scrap Sucker is the main reason Pam is viable. She is currently not in the competitive meta but she used to be meta just because of that gadget. She was able to shut down anything aggresive and even against long range brawlers, it provided a lot of use since snipers usually have a slow reload speed. Air Support is a great gadget for Ruffs. Ruffs has been competitively viable for a while now and while this gadget isn't really a part of him being meta, it's able to shut down any lane fairly easily. On maps like safe zone and super stadium, it's definitely not a gadget you should underestimate.

Pam's 2nd gadget should be replaced with Poco's 2nd gadget in this video

In my opinion Jacky's second gadget which helps her rebuild a wall is just the most useless thing.Half of the time when Jacky is used she is used for close ranged combat not defence.

scrapsucker is by far the better gd pam is typically used as an aggro counter and even if she's not vsing a Darryl or something it can still get value if you get up close to something longer range. Air support is also super underrated as it gives you a few seconds of control over a zone or gem mine even if it doesn't deal any dmg, the sandbags outclass it but if you see all pierce brawlers in draft or aren't vsing single target brawlers on ladder it's useful to have. and mine mania is good in draft if you aren't vsing aggros, it can give a lot of control if used on a choke point

Scrapsucker? What u mean? It's very very good even in 3v3 because she'll be able to scare off enemies or able to ambush enemies if you want to be a more aggro Pam which is she is surprisingly good at

2:03 Remove damage reduction and add slowing effects for 3/2 seconds and it'll be good. Why slow? So you can use it in life or death situations to somewhat defend yourself against close range brawlers. Or simply to keep enemies in place until you can get to them around the wall. Imo I'd still use the friendzoner gadget even after these changes because EMZ is just really bad without it.

I think mortis's first gadget is bad compared to second. I litterally gives you damage equal to 7-power attack. If you just use second gadget before "dangerous moment" you can get ~6 attacks (any power damage) instead of 3 in the same time. It can help you to damage more, or just escape to safe distantion in time.
