As a Brazilian, you chose the worst year possible to make this video, since we have 3 of the "big 12" teams relegated to Serie B (Cruzeiro, Vasco da Gama and Botafogo) hahahahahaha. Cruzeiro also plays at Mineirão (just like Atlético), but Atlético's new stadium is 50% complete. Vasco da Gama plays at São Januário, and that's an insanely traditional stadium, big history. Finally, Botafogo plays at Estádio Nilton Santos, also called "Engenhão" , one of the best stadiums in Brazil, highly used in the 2016 olympics. Great video nevertheless! Cheers

I enjoyed the contrast between the modern, huge stadiums and the traditional, smaller stadiums. It makes me want to go see Serie A matches in Brazil. If Covid ever ends!

@@alanz3497 There are pros and cons of coming to watch them. The vibe is amazing, the prices are cheap and the food is incredible. The football itself is not so good, and most of the stadiums are in not so nice parts of the cities, even dangerous some times. Research well before coming!

A few months ago I went down the wiki rabbit hole and read about Vasco and their stadium. Vasco are one of the few clubs in Brasil who own their own stadium and the stadium has a ton of political importance. It could use a modern upgrade though.

Probably because of Christ the Redeemer, people thinks it's in Brazil because the first construction was made in Brazil representing the faith of the majority of brazilians in christianity.. After the construction, that's inspirated other cities around the world to construct the replicas of Crist the redeemer. This picture is from Barcelona if I'm not wrong.

You forgot the Mané Garrincha stadium, located in the Brazilian capital, Brasília. It's a new stadium, also made for the 2014 World Cup. One of the most beautiful in Brazil, a lot of similarities with Wembley...

Fato, a Copa do mundo teve lados ruins e bons ao mesmo tempo. Nossos estádios estavam a fangalhos todos antigos e em péssima estrutura. A Copa do Mundo trouxe um legado de modernização dos estádios até os interiores começaram a se modernizar. O lado negativo que cansamos de saber foi o superfaturamento das obras, mas a Copa do Mundo teve suas vantagens sim...

Yup! But keep in mind, even though Santos FC has millions of fans, its home town is a city called Santos, that has a population of a little over 400 thousand people. Whenever they need a larger crowd, they play in Pacaembu Stadium, São Paulo. It has a capacity of 40 thousand.

Estadio do Morumbi, from São Paulo Football Club. This one has SOO much history, because "It's glories comes from the past", São Paulo FC is the biggest team of Brazil, with 22 Regional Cups, 6 Brazillian League (Being the only one to win 3 consecutive leagues), 0 Brazil's Cup (Unfortunnaly :( ), 3 Libertadores (The biggest winner), 1 Sulamericana (The only Paulistian to win), 2 Libertadores Supercup, 1 Conmebol Cup, 2 Libertadores Re-cup and 3 Club World Cup! The only "Tri-mundial". You probally know Rogério Ceni, the goalkeeper with most goals in carreer (132 goals!), he have 3 Guinness Book Awards (The player that stayed most times at a team, The Player with most matches at one team and The Goalkeeper with most goals). He came from São Paulo FC and became the best player of that team! I know, it' an long text, but can you do the history of each club, please? It's really cool seeing Europeans/North-american noting Brazillian's teams. Good video, like!

The Palmeiras stadium is an amazing acoustic marvel and it's one of the most modern of the world. The Corinthians Stadium is really nice too, pretty open and it's easy to get to

The original builder to the Allianz Arena is a real estate developer who has done mostly office high rise buildings. He overuses glass panels , yet he does s good job with shapes. Google WTorre Morumbiand you shall see by yourself. Developer and team representative got into a tussle over income sharing , as this one stadia was not funded by government money. Both ended up on litigation.

You might not know, but Atlético Mineiro is building it’s own Arena, the Mineirão Stadium is public, you should check it out when it’s ready

Good job. A minor correction on pronunciation... The letter A. With the eyebrow ato means you gotta use the nasal and the throat. For instance. ... Maracanã becomes Maracanaaah. You got to stretch the a at the end and use your throat Mineirão becomes Mineiraaahuu. You actually tighten up the mouth as you were to whistle at the end of the word. Portuguese is the only language that uses this variant. The describing adjective to it is a “TIL”. One more thing. Whenever the C appears with w tail, such as in Coração , it is pronounced as S as in senior.

Arena da Baixada is missing the retractable roof on the video. It also has lighting on the roof so at night it lights up in all sorts of colors like the Allianz Arena in Germany. So it's a box but it's a fancy shiny box at night, you can see it from almost anywhere in the city when it's dark. It's quite the view.

Cara não sou corintiano mais o gramado do Corinthians sempre foi muito bom, o da arena da baixada também, alianz parque, até o gramado da chapecoense sempre foi muito bom, tem o gramado também do Red Bull Bragantino, Morumbi, Beira Rio, Arena do Grêmio, Vila Belmiro. Tem estádios com bons gramados que não citei, porém ainda é muito pouco para um país no qual somos penta campeões, falta muito respeito com o nosso futebol aqui. Na Inglaterra times da terceira divisão tem gramado de time grande da Champions league.

About the Allianz Parque format is not because the value, but It's because the other Palmeiras stadium, Palestra Itália, was a histórical monument of the city, just like Morumbi, another big and historical stadium, and Palestra have the oval format. Palmeiras to build the new stadium needed to mantain some parts of the old stadium, because was'nt autorized to destroy, this is the explication to the oval-square format.

You're right about that one, Chapecoense was one of the finalists in Copa Sulamericana and was the underdog of the tournament. During their flight for the first match of the final, their plane crashed and killed 71 people. They would be crowned champions of Copa Sulamericana as an act of empathy. The club struggled with this tragedy and eventually was relegated in 2019 to brazil 2nd division, but they never stopped fighting and got the promotion by being champions of the 2nd division
