I'm a 57 year old grandma silver ARMY whose suffered from depression and other mental health issues my whole life. Two years ago Permission to Dance was the first BTS song that I heard and it began the journey down the BTS rabbit hole that saved my life. Once BTS gave me permission to dance, I started dancing with my grandchildren, then my whole perception of life started to change for the better. I cried listening to every song for around 6 months until most of the pain was out and I was beginning to feel small bursts of joy again. The relationship with my daughter and grand kids and myself wouldn't be the same now without finding BTS when I did.

I discovered BTS during the pandemic. I'm a 60 yr oId ARMY, and I was probably at the lowest I've ever been. I was missing my children and grandchildren so much. Christmas was super tough because we could not be together as a family. So we would meet through Zoom and FaceTime. The best Christmas gift was when my oldest son and his wife broke the happy news that they were finally pregnant and expecting twins. That news revived me. As I delved into BTS more, I was amazed at their talent, their music, as well as their personalities. Their discography is insane. Their versatility is something I have never seen in any other musical band/ group. Their history and evolution is literally a rags to riches story. They are humble, and they share their emotions and vulnerability through their music. And, these guys are funny and silly as hell! They are way more than just their music. They created their own variety shows where they do challenges, share group vacations. They are just seven amazing guys who absolutely are so grateful to their fan base, ARMY. There is a saying out there that "you don't find BTS, BTS finds you," and for many, it is when they are at their lowest when they discover these amazing guys. Enjoy the journey of diving into them more. They debuted in 2013, so they've been around for quite a while. Their discography alone, between group and solo projects, is well over 300+ songs. 💜

I just wanted to clarify something BTS made more then 3 songs during the pandemic but Dynamite, Permission to Dance, & Butter were 3 FULL ENGLISH songs that they made to help uplift ppl. They also made the BE album which talks abt their feelings & messages they wanted to share during the pandemic. Here are the tracklist for the album: -Life Goes On -Fly to My Room -Blue & Grey -skit: which is just a recording of them celebrating getting their fist billboard #1 on the Hot 100 for the first time. It kind is special bc it kind of connects the fans with them during the time -Telepathy -Dis-ease -Stay -Dynamite I highly recommend the album! Thanks for reacting! This song gets a ton of hate but I will forever defend this song bc of its message, how it helped ppl, & how it makes me feel when I listen to it. This song was written by Ed Sheeran and he gifted it to BTS (also some of the lyrics where inspired by quotes BTS themselves have said) Also no need to apologize for crying. 💜

Super poppy songs is not my cup of tea, so the 3 English bts songs were not my favs. However, after learning why they did these songs and actually sat there and watched the videos and listened to them, I learned to really appreciate them. They are well made pop songs. Unlike other pop songs that have no soul. I get why some people dismiss these 3 songs, but there’s no reason to hate it. Some people were worried that bts was just going to do English songs from here on out…but 3 full English songs out of a discography of 300+ songs is nothing! They’ve still released full Korean songs after these 3.

I'm a 48-year-old ARMY, and I've been in the fandom for almost 8 years. Greetings from Mexico. The BTS company has an internal creative team (the company is based in Korea like most of its labels, but it also has a team in Japan, the United States and now it starts in Mexico) and also external collaborators, in addition to what they write and compose; it is the guys who decide whether or not to include a song foreign to them, or, they define what to add to it to include it in their discography. Even when planning the recording between them they define which part suits each one the best. This song was given to him by Ed Sheeran who composed and wrote it together with his team; it is the second one he gives them.

Hey, just a few things abt bts in general: There are 7 Members (I guess you already know) -RM, Leader/Rapper -Jin, Vocalist/Visual -Suga, Rapper -Jhope, Rapper/Lead Dancer -Jimin, Vocalist/Main dancer -V, Vocalist/Visual -Jungkook, Vocalist/Center They debutet on 13th of June in 2013, their debut song is "No more dream". Their fandom is called ARMY A- Adorable R- Representatives M- M.C. for Y- Youth Funfact: BTS first wanted to name their Fans "Bells" instead of ARMY (btw BTS stands for "방탄소년단" it's korean and means Bulletproof Boyscouts), Most of the English Songs were released during Covid19 to support the Army and make them feel good. Bts had a lot of more profound Songs, they have an Album about Self love and I think one of their deepest Songs is "Spring Day" Right now, they're all in Military, but every member released a solo Album before entlistening. Also Jin (the oldest member) will return soon, they all will be back in 2025 Also There are a lot Songs Armys like better than the English Songs (although they are also really good), maybe u could react to some Songs like "Mic Drop", "Black Swan", "Fake Love" or "Idol. I think these r the most famous Korean Songs of them Also u seem really interested in their dance, maybe u could also react to the "Run Bts" Live performance, it's amazing or some dance practices? If u want to get to know the members better u could watch a video it's named "A guide to BTS members: the Bangtan 7" by Taylor Mari, it's a bit long but it really has a lot of information and it's really good, or u could just listen to some solo songs of the members (For example there are): -"Wild Flower" by RM -"The Astronaut" by Jin -"AgustD" or "D-Day" or "Daechwita" by AgustD (AgustD is the solo artist name of Suga) -"On the street" or "Arson" by Jhope -"Like Crazy" or "Set me free pt.2" by Jimin -"Rainy days" or "Love me again" or "Slow dancing" by V -"Standing next to you"(this one really got the Michael Jackson Vibe) or "3D" or "Seven"(you may already know this one) by Jungkook Wish u all the best❤ (And sorry for the long comment I didn't realize I wrote that much😅😂)

Most of their music has very meaningful and emotional lyrics even when the melody sounds upbeat. This song brought me to the army !! A happy song full of hope for better days. Like: “Hope, everything will be fine soon.” We are prohibited from so many things, but we don't need permission to dance! The choreography is easy and captivating. They used international sign language at the end of the choreography (no nana nana nanan): - Happy - Dance - Peace. BTS made a point of showing some professions and groups that were directly affected by the pandemic in the Permission To Dance MV. The ending dancing with the production team is really cool and shows a real characteristic they have: they are kind and humble towards everyone. Beautiful!!! 💜💜💜

Permission to Dance makes me cry too. It's a message we needed so badly, and the ending, with the whole crew dancing, just drove it home that they really, really meant it. Don't be ashamed of your tears. BTS cries all the time - we feel honored that they share their real emotions with us, and you'll find that ARMY are kind to people who are sincere and open with their feelings. There's nothing strong about hiding how you feel, and being vulnerable is hard. Thank you. You'll find many, many more meaningful BTS songs - you started with their least meaningful tracks! I see you've already done Black Swan. I think you'll love Spring Day (it's sad, bring a tissue) and On, and there are so many more. Magic Shop (a live performance) is really powerful. Since the beginning they've wanted to use music to connect with people in a meaningful way. They have songs that are just fun, but they have a *lot* of songs that have something important to say. I think you'll fall for them as hard as I did. Welcome. 💜

Thank you for letting me watch your lovely reactions from the real heart and not made-up ones. I am a senior ARMY in my 60s. I am also very emotional about this song, and I heard that the BTS members were going through a very hard time emotionally because they had to cancel all their concerts and other activities indefinitely during this time when the world had changed so drastically, and this song was a message to them to look forward together and live together. I respect them and believe that they are not just idols as they have been in the past. I would like to continue to see their real reactions, which are not made up, and I hope you will continue to deliver them to us.

Next you should try Life Goes On and Spring Day with explanation .

Trigger Warning: Spring Day is a great song, a little sad, about missing someone, but the MV that goes with it highlights a horrible ferry tragedy in Korea that happened because of corruption and involves about 300 souls mostly students. It is truly heartbreaking if you watch the explanation. If you are emotional, it will make you very upset and angry.

6:05 thank you for sharing your pandemic story with us even though it was hard...i cant imagine the fear you would have bringing a baby into the world during that! Im glad that you & your family are ok. Please never ever apologize for showing emotion! More men need to imo. Watch more BTS, not only will their lyrics uplift & inspire you, (as will their origin story) but you will see, theyve literally sobbed in front of us countless times, they even tear up at the end of concerts as they say goodbye to us. Its healthy! Much love to you & yours . Sending virtual hugs to you. 💜 Eta 12:19 they have so many deep beautiful lyrical songs. And BTS is all about positivity. BTS find you when you need them the most. Not to make you cry but their entire album BE, was their feelings during the pandemic. Life goes on, dis-ease, zero o'clock and so many more.

Bro! You had me teary-eyed and flowing, too 😂. Loving your reactions and yes, YOU ARE ARMY, most definitely. Welcome to the BTS Rabbit Hole. I am a 64 yr old Silver ARMY and BTS is my drug of choice! If you like live music, one of my favorite live performances is BTS Room Live FESTA 2021. It will knock your socks off and you will be an idea of their evolution as artists because it's a medley of songs from old to new. As a metal and rock and roll guy you are perfect ARMY to be because all of BTS performances are a big deal and so well produced. They don't just stand there and sing, they PERFORM and like metal and rock bands, and they have great sets and great drip! Borahae 💜

I am so touched by your reaction to this song. It makes real for me how much it meant to so many people during the pandemic. I love that you are open about your emotions and willing to share them with us. Never apologise. As you get to know BTS and ARMY more, you will realise that we all weep ALL THE TIME! And that every song from BTS is meaningful. I hated the English songs at first - and in fact BTS were extremely worried that they would not be loved. EXTREMELY - but they threw themselves into them. They are a very Korean band: their music is full of specific references to Korean culture and history, and is also full of love for their language. Which I love. I thought the English songs were superficial and shallow but as I began to realise what they were actually for, I came to love them. They really were a gift for international fans intended to try to lift them during a horrifying time. I love the generosity of that. BTS abandoned their own language and culture to support everyone in the world. And every song BTS produce is meaningful. I have yet to find any I dislike. I thought I had, once. I hated GoGo and Anpanman. They were, I thought, just bubblegum pop, and pointless. For some reason I decided to look into them. Good Grief. I found out that Gogo is actually a bit of a satire on the plight of young people in Korea who realise they will probably never be able to afford to have a house or to marry because of inflation (Korean birth rates are plummeting), and Anpanman is based on a Japanese cartoon about a superhero made of bread, who flies to children in need, and breaks off part of his head so that they have something to eat - but then he has to rest until his head grows back. It's an incredible metaphor for self-sacrifice. BTS of course identify with Anpanman - I think they like the character but also identify with the childlike persona. Both songs are incredibly up-beat and performances are magnificent fun. You will struggle to find any ARMY who does not cry every time they listen to BTS. I have heard many of the songs dozens, perhaps hundreds of times. They still make me cry every single time. It's time now for you to leap into the Korean songs (they also have Japanese songs). A;ways use subtitles and give yourself time to watch/listen a couple of times. If you can, look at translation site - my choice is www.doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com, because it offers a lot more than simply translation : brief notes on wordplay, historical and cultural references and the origins of the song. It's well worth a visit before you react. Many will offer many suggestions for what to listen to so I won't, but I look forward to your further reactions, and for your full realisation that, yes, you have become a BTS fan. There is only one way, and that is to submit to the love of BTS, and drag everyone you know into the wonder to enjoy it with you... 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

BTS had made me cry on many occasions. You're not the only reactor--male reactor to cry to BTS. Get ready for a journey! Love it! ❤ Oh! Did you catch the sign language in the video? The deaf community thanked and cried tears of joy--that they were openly included. No other artist has done this in recent years or at all from my memory.❤❤❤

Daqui a pouco vc fira um Army. E francamente é um mundo de muito amor 💜. Veja mv da música spring day e tem tb documentário de fã explicando o mv e a música.

I’m normally not a lover of reaction videos to BTS as I feel a lot of reactors just seem fake and want the views they get from reacting to BTS but you are completely different and that’s a wonderful thing!! Seeing you get emotional over Permission to Dance made me see the song differently and I loved that you did that for me. I am looking forward to your other reaction videos! Thank you so much for being your authentic self!!

This is what happens - BTS sneaks in there, striking you in the emotions when you least expect it. PTD is surprising because it's happy, upbeat, but I had the same reaction you did. On first viewing I burst into tears. I had lost several friends during the pandemic and we could not even have a funeral. We could not support their loved ones except by texts and notes. Thank you so much for a heartfelt, unfiltered, unedited reaction. The world needs more of this and we will all be better together, stronger, and support each other's mental wellbeing. And if you love meaningful music, you have come to the right place. Check out the translations available. You'll be blown away.

I’m a 52 almost 53yr old ARMY ALL THE WAY!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜 This group of MEN are so amazing! Talking at the UN & the White House against Asian Hate Crimes etc…. They have saved so many people from the ages of I would say 8-10 maybe even younger up to people in their 70’s maybe even older. They have the respect and love of so many people all over the World! They showed us all that we can become united as a World through music even with a language barrier. I ONLY listen to K-Pop since my now 20yr old daughter introduced me to BTS then Stray Kids, Ateez, Seventeen etc….they are ALL such hard workers & the things that they have to endure & go through from a young age are VERY HARD to become a K-Pop entertainer. They suffer a lot. You ought to watch a guide to BTS to see the things that our 7 Kings had to go through to get to where they are today. I am SO READY for them to be back together! They are missed EVERY SECOND, EVERY MINUTE & EVERY HOUR OF EVERYDAY. (See who gets this lol 😂) 💜💜💜💜💜

Artists use their emotions for their creativity. Adorando as reações do BTS.
