TIP: Wash limes in a bowl of vinegar and water to remove pesticides. Cut off ends. After cutting in quarters, remove the white filament that is down the middle of the lime slices so your lemonade isn't bitter. Enjoy this great drink!

For anyone confused about the lime thing. The word lemon in english is similar to the word limão in portuguese, but limão would be considered a lime in USA. The yellow lemon most known to you is a limão siciliano to us. Lime sound similar to lima, which would be like a bitter orange to us, although it's not a common fruit for most Brazilians, but it exists nonetheless. Lime is much more common in Brazil than lemon, so that's why the recipe uses it. Hope that clarify things lol :)

we call limes "limão", which is similar to lemon, and this recipe is called "Limonada Suíça", that translates to Swiss Lemonade also, there is no portuguese equivalent to limeade, soooo

@@kennethober9070 no, the recipe is really like that, the thing is that lemons are rare (and expensive) in Brazil so we use limes, in addition to this we dont have a word to differentiate lemons and limes, both are called "limão"

why tf would you throw in the whole lime and why is it called lemonade? shave the zest off that lemon( i mean lime) flavor and discard the peel for christ de redeemers sake that just makes it bitter and somewhat defeats the purpose of the condensed milk rating: 4/10 im so confused in Europe we use lemons in out lemonade, and people false claiming the “best” anything when shit is obviously mid
@enbybeanie666
@enbybeanie666 Жыл бұрын
it's called lemonade because in Brazilian Portuguese, the traslation for lime is "Limão", which as i hope you can see, resembles "Lemon" and have you even tried? Or you just think that because you don't like it, people shouldn't? i wouldn't expect less coming from an european

Honest review: Not bad if you don't mind a bitter aftertaste. If I make this again, I'd leave one lime with peel or just peel all of them instead. Still, it's a nice and easy drink to whip up. *Bonus Tip: add a bit of avocado to make it nice and creamy!!*
