Apparently, the enemy here is competent enough to use concealment to successfully ambush against a Ranger squad on open ground at 100 meters backed by rpg and machine gun fire, but not competent enough to actually hit anything.

The goat would actually be pretty terrifying, since goats are usually attended to by goatherds.

wish they had brought up a diagram to show the initial disposition of the team when they made contact, where they went to ground, etc,

in real life you wouldnt be using the radio to say that youre set. as soon as you hear the other team start firing that means theyre set and you start moving immediately. you dont have enough ammo to be wasting time .

P sure a FIST can be attacked temporarily to call for fires. Mortars probably aren’t needed to be as coordinated, howitzers need to be tho

Open ground/desert/rice paddies but not jungle/forest/build up areas not so simple.

That’s because it’s call of duty, there’s a difference between you using your hand and aiming the gun your self. In call of duty you use a mouse or a controller

Nope, it's made by the same developer: Bohemia Interactive, BUT: it's a different version of it called VBS, licensed to governments and militaries for training visualizations. bisimulations.com/products

Sure does look a lot like Sahrani. I think this version of VBS is a modified arma gold 2007.
