I helped a buddy put his crop in back in 2015 and the second day out he lost a tractor to fire and he was down to one seeding unit instead of his usual two. It was thanks to GPS that we could run long days and got the crop seeded in a timely fashion. I really couldn't believe the hours I could operate without fatigue setting in!

Exactly! He could have seeded at LEAST 10 acres with horses instead of fighting with the tractor! (unless a horse threw a shoe or something...)

No, he won't the little cry baby, will be upset there is no phone chargers, it has no soft close doors, and a team of horse dose not have power inverter to plug in his coffee maker.

When I worked on my uncle's farm, we did not have Auto Steer. We had manual steering. . . . no wonder we were tired after 12 hour days and longer. I even used wire off a fence to make a temporary repair so we could keep using equipment. . . . Those days are in the past for sure. Technology is nice when it works. It can sure be frustrating when it doesn't work. We did not have cell phones and we thought FM radios for communicating were great. WOW. Thank you for sharing your day with us.

Mike, it is the 24th of May so im assuming you have your autostart and such figured out,but I noticed that when you keyed up your radio to talk to someone is the exact time that your GPS/ electronics went crazy. Iam a ham radio operator and in my experience ,if you move your radio antenna farther away from your GPS antenna, that will help.

Back in my youth, I bent a few of the fins. They are very thin. Using the compressor is great. I had to use water. 😊

Those vaderstad drills have their own GPS so even if the tractor has GPS issues, it's never gonna affect the sectional control

air conditioner "radiator" is the Condenser Coil. And careful to not bend over the fins! Aluminum ones are soft.

This reminds me of the time we were sitting at grain terminal in Savage Minnesota it was well past opening time not unloading yet. I walked to the terminal to find out they couldn't dump trucks because of a satellite malfunctioning. Nothing can be done manually anymore. Even cash machines check out can't make change because no one is smart enough to make change. We had to shut down seeding once because of the hydraulic steering system. Auto steer tied to the mapping on GPS tied to several years history on the field tied to fertilizer tests tied to area yields tied to population rate if the planter on various spots in the field. Wow how technical can we get.

The AC house has a Fin Comb to get the fins Unbent for airflow. But you can fatigue the aluminum ones and when they fracture it's Bad. If you can find the Brass or Copper finned ones as replacements better. They exist.

Gps can be a headache. Trimble just kinda goes limp every so often too. Have to shut down and give it a time out.

Hard reset is take the ground wire off. Plus positive cable.

You can restart the Computer By holding the arrow key and the blank key below next to the Turn dial Gets rid of alot of glitches

Did he check the charge on your AC most likely the low pressure switch is why you don't have voltage to the compressor, it could be low refrigerate charge on the system, they use a low pressure switch to protect your compressor!!!!!

Guess you’ll not finish seeding by May 26th as you normally aim to 😅. The reason being excess moisture I guess somewhat makes it ok, considering the two last years 😮

the big radiator that is angled is actully the intercooler for the turbo im pretty sure

Ya need to Get ya some Foaming Coil cleaner called Acti Bright it’s a Acid Base For AC Coils and a Garden Hose to clean the Radiator!

When i drove tractors years ago i broke down on top of a silage stack and the tech guy from IH came out to help me.!! Guess what he forgot? His bloody laptop, it took me a while to realize that my arms and feet don't do the the work anymore LOL. Love your Blogs.

you will have to go into your settings on the x30 and click on to your tractor not implement and make shur you got the right configuration mine did that same as yours gps was all over the screen they are not a good computer at all,next year we will be putting a new agleader system to run the planter dealer said it will 110% better to operate at only 15k.

that gear invalid might be because the screen does'nt go out of park. or because you were stationary with the tractor in park.

how can that be . when the Fendt gave you some trouble you bashed them to no end but your sweet Deere it's ok you have been in Green under wear all a long . your old Fendt combines are working good for other farmers now as to the post that some are making

If you think I wear "green underwear" you definitely don't know me very well 😆.. Where do I even start on this comment? 1st: the tractor is a 2015 with nearly 4000hrs on it. 2nd: These are issues that happen to every farmer when they first hit the field for the season - which is why you always start close to home. I could keep going on but let's jump to Fendt products shall we?.. The combines were brutal for reliability issues - worst I have ever seen and worst in my Dad's 54yrs of farming. They weren't just a first day of season bugs kinda thing, they were 3yrs of 30days of techs worth of bugs! 😆 Agco has logs for every tech that was down and what they did for warranty.. Let's just say that 30days at the farm is very close.. And we won't talk about the $60k in each combine that AGCO put in for "premature wear" and the list goes on.. 😆🤷🏼‍♂️ You expect bugs but not years worth of them.. Case in point, my X9 had issues as well with the seat, and lots of header issues.. Some guys had bad fuel tanks too.. But I can actually list on one hand the issues with them, would need alot of hands for the ideals 👌

And oh, the kid that programmed that software nightmare you are caught in decided she needed a lifestyle change so she is crewing on a yacht somewhere in the Bahamas - so nobody at Deere really knows how to fix your problem.
