OMG...I can't believe what is being said here...you are all totally wrong. Shanell's Mum was not walking out as you see it...she was simply being supportive to her daughter's needs which is quite different to how you all see things. Western parents are supportive while allowing their children freedom of autonomy and respecting of their needs and decisions while Indian parents would step into a power play of control. They would be more worried about what society would think rather than honour the needs of their children.
