I think I have an unpopular opinion when it comes to Leanna. I don't think she owes Rhodes, her grown son with his own life, an apology for an accidental pregnancy or taking time with her relationship and not just having a shotgun wedding to appease him. I think that Leanna and her boyfriend opted for a long engagement because everything has happened so fast. Is it an ideal situation? Perhaps not for everyone, but evidently it works for the only two people who really matter in the relationship, the couple themselves. I also don't think Rhodes gets to decide that her boyfriend is a bad man because he doesn't see him often. His mother probably thinks it's going to blow up in their faces if she tries to get them around each other more frequently, especially since Rhodes is barely being decent to her right now. It might not be fair to do, but it isn't just Rhodes' feelings she has to consider now. It also isn't fair to make her boyfriend be around someone who is going to be nothing but antagonistic and snappy towards him, and it's not right to make the baby witness that happen to his father. I think her boyfriend does really want to befriend him, as shown by the sentiment he gained at the reunion. Until Rhodes can pull his head out of his rear a bit, I don't see that happening though. Like I definitely empathize with the fact Rhodes feels awkward. It is a weird situation to suddenly find himself in. At the same time, feeling like his mom should be in this state of constantly apologizing to him for it is quite controlling imo. Leanna was a really good mom to him, and now it's time for him to be a good son to her and let her have more in life outside of himself. What I feel would really help is if Leanna set some boundaries in regards to what her sons relationship should be. She doesn't need Rhodes to be a surrogate dad, his brother has two parents that love him already. What she does need is for him to be a brother to him. That means Rhodes needs to take himself a little less seriously. He's the one in the family who gets to do all the fun silly things with his brother without judgement, like making blanket forts and staying up way past his brother's bedtime with him while they "sneakily" watch scary movies late into the night, or go on little adventures with him, etc. Rhodes gets to be the ultimate best friend. I think once he realizes that his only job as a big brother is to enjoy being a big brother he'll be a lot happier. To be clear I do really like Rhodes, he's an amazing character who is totally romance goals. But he has some flaws, and that's good!! No one is perfect. I just felt like Leanna needed someone on her side, especially since I know what it's like to have very judgemental family do their best to fracture relationships they don't like (or refuse to try to like). I don't think Rhodes is that toxic, in the sense that he's doing it on purpose, but he is letting the anxiety of this big change turn him into a bit of a family bully. A family sit down and a deep conversation is desperately needed between the three though. I just want your pixel people to be happy lol And sorry for the obnoxiously long comment... I really did try to slim it down 😅

I think Rhodes' new aspiration should definitely be family. Probably super parent or big happy family
