I love how he somewhat adapts to who he fights like he knows how to fight his students and it's my favorite armor design.

Armor of Eraqus's 2nd Form is essentially it entering its own unique Command Style rather than using Terra, Aqua or Ventus's Command Style

To think Eraqus and Xehanort (No Heart) in their prime were this strong. I'm now curious to see if we'll learn who their master was.

What I found interesting about the unique combo attacks is that they somewhat resemble each student’s “Ars” style command. When fighting Terra, there are some animations that are completely identical to Ars Solum, against Ventus some of the attacks look like they come from Ars Arcanum, and for Aqua the orb that he fires downward creates a pillar that’s reminiscent of Magic Hour.

One detail that got completely overlooked, if you survive the final hit of his unique style's combo, the one where he puts you in an orb and slashes you, you'll be knocked into the ground and the EXACT SAME magic circle from Lingering Will's bind moves appears as the shockwave effect.

You know what, I think i've figured out why the Armor of Eraqus has commands menu things that represent each of the bbs trio. He was their master, their teacher. On top of learning how to use the keyblade from each other, they learned from him for most. So essentially, he taught them almost everything they know and therefore know how to fight against them.

The “orb of darkness” is similar to several light effects in the series, particularly with extremely powerful light magic. KH1 Trinity and Ancient Lighr both use the same effect, it seems to be a form of potent light magic

This was one of the coolest fights to me in the series. How he'd change some attacks based on who you were using on him, which makes sense as he was their master was really cool

Imagine if instead of Sora defeating Xahenort, it's Eraqus' Lingering Will. Thus giving a whole new meaning to "some light comes from the past"

God I wish it wasn't such a chore to unlock this boss and no heart

The fact that he has a unique form for every character he fights against is cool. Thematically, it makes sense. The trio probably learned their unique moves from training under the real Eraqus. I guess you could think of each phase as a Command Style for Eraqus.

seeing a bunch of moves i havent seen in the 400 hours i put in bbs makes this totally worth it! great work!

2:42 This “dark orange energy” reminds me of a magic cross slash attack that Aced used against Invi in KH x Backcover, so I don’t think it’s necessarily darkness. Possibly another form of gravity or light ability? Yet the fact he is a Keyblade Master could imply he uses a small amount of Darkness, despite his strong beliefs against it in the story.

I love the variations in this fight. It really shows that Eraqus taught them everything they know. Also makes kinda sad that he's gone

I always found it refreshing that you get to fight against someone firmly cemented in the light like Eraqus while playing Birth by Sleep. He's a cool character, and I hope we get to learn more about his past in Dark Road. I also really, really hope that at some point in the future, we get an antagonist who wields the light. Given that all we got from Xehanort and his various incarnations was "something, something, something, darkness" every three seconds (not that I'm mocking him or anything because I loved Xehanort's character overall), it would be very refreshing to see a villain who uses the light in the same way that Xehanort used darkness. Plus, just imagine how weird it would be for Sora to fight against the light. Seeing as Riku walks the road to dawn and uses light and darkness in equal shares, maybe this light wielding antagonist could be his new nemesis. Kind of like a light based Ansem. Or, this could be an opportunity to explore Sora finally tapping into darkness like so many fans have wanted.

The color of the orb kinda reminds me of the orb used during the Ancient Light finisher with the Starlight keyblade in KH3

Love the breakdowns. I usually miss alot of the fighting moves, styles and etc, while playing. Which is one of the most fascinating things to me. I appreciate this. Keep doing, what your doing.

Bio u sly armored fox, eraqus is one of my favorite fights in BBS and seeing a breakdown about it makes me get nostalgia feelings and goosebumps

In the original version of BBS FM, if you fight the Armor with other players in multiplayer mode, the Armor will change character styles depending on which character he captures. That way you could fight multiple different phases than just 2.

I, knew about unique DM depending on character, but not those character specific details! That's so cool!

When you think about it long enough, the “Dark Orb with Chains” attack reminds me a lot of the “Gravity Drop” command from Re:Coded. In fact there’s a lot of similarities in the attack animation. Both involve the user lifting their doe up with Gravity magic (although Data Sora jumps before creating the orb while AOTM creates the orb before lifting it up and jumping) and ending with a slash downwards causing the sphere to explode. Gravity Magic is always depicted as being a much darker looking magic, and the AOTM could simply be enhancing the spell with his Bond Chains

Yay!! I love this fight it was so cool!!! Plus the ultima weapon was awesome to get. Although it still took me a bit to beat him, and man I never realized that he had so much in his fight. What's your favorite Kingdom Hearts game and boss though, Bio?

Eraqus’ Armor can do the chain grab attack that summons the magic circle behind it for all 3, not just Aqua and Ven

I have a question. Since in the original BBS, you can fight the armor in teams, can the armor change to any other command style depending on who he captures during online play?

While the battle itself probably isn’t canon, did Eraqus no longer have that same power level when he fought Terra?

Will you continue BbS breakdowns? If so, will you break down Mysterious Figure/Young Xehanort? I think it's a unique enough fight to break down.

My guess for the next one is vanitas lingering spirit or mysterious figure (young xehanort)

It's kind of like the armor is trying to teach the three with the unique moves.

Hey bio I have a question. If kingdom key Was suppose to be Riku’s keyblade, can he take it back from Sora now since we saw him do it in kh1 and the same for Roxas can he use Sora’s key blade if he wanted to since he is his nobody? Sounds more like a theory than a question😅

This is informative but I was disappointed that you didnt point out that some of Eraqus' attacks are in fact, shotlocks, command styles and finishers. Also I was hoping to see how to avoid/punish against said attacks, so this video didnt really help me for strategy.
