Today's video breaks down a new game! This game is Astral Chain! You take on the role of a police officer who gets promoted to a special division called Neuron. You are given something called a Legion to combat enemies called the Chimera. If you have not picked it up, I highly recommend it!

Awesome guide! I’m pretty sure that having the Legion out does increase your weapon damage, but I could be wrong.

for the launcher that requires the enemy to be stunned, you don't mention a particular input that has to be done to perform it. is it automatic if there's a stunned enemy nearby or is there another trick to it? always wanted to do stylish combos in this game but never learned air combat because the game doesn't teach it to you very well lol

Honestly experiencing Astal Chain's combat for the first time was very similar to KH2FM. Pure Action Bliss.

Even in other games you can't seem to escape the phrases "diagonal slash" and "twisting in the air." Also, would you say it's best to try to find a "rhythm" in combos are does just mashing do the trick?

I will always over explain every detail Hmm I would say you really need to just stay engaged. There’s so many different combos and things to keep in mind while also keeping an eye out for attacks.

Technically… there is. The whole "upgrade" that the protag gets to their general fighting capability.

I should’ve! I almost edited in some Kingdom Hearts attacks that looked similar like zantetsuken for the baton charge attack xD

Hey. I played Astral Chain as well. Everything was great, but you left out how to actually get into the air (by using the Legion) for air combos. You also were incorrect about one major detail: Having your Legion out increases the damage, as well as attack speed. It's not just for pretty effects. There's even a Legion skill that lets you keep the effects of having your Legion out (extra attack damage, attack speed) You MIGHT also gain more attack speed after File 2, as you said in the video. I would have to do some checks on that, but I definitely know that attack speed increases while the Legion is out.

Ya I noticed as soon as I actually turned my HUD on 😅 silly mistake Are you saying that with your legion out you may have a faster attack speed than normal? 🤔 I’ll have to check that out!

@@BioRoxas great video, you left out that even if you can't continue the combo if you change the weapon, you can indeed continue the combo of the first weapon if you dodge in the middle of the weapon and change it, initiate the combo of the other weapon and then dodge and change again the weapon to finish the first combo. you can do this while changing all three weapons and still works. So you can pratically chain many sync attacks with the legion because you can continue the combo after most of the sync attacks ( except some that put you in bad position to continue some combo), andyway I hope you continue to explore the other legions! I would love to see the other analysis on the rest of the legions! with that nice slow mo on the attacks, is perfect!
