Oh yum! That buffet looked delicious. I believe I would have enjoyed everything you selected. The freshly made omelette and eggs Benedict truly bumps up the value of the meal ... plus with such good table service, I would have been totally satisfied with paying that price, and I might even splurge on the Mimosa. 😉 Thanx for another great review Danny. I will definitely be checking out the Chin Chin breakfast buffet when I am in Las Vegas!

My favorite Eggs Benedict is crab cake with spinach. My dad made a version with English muffin, scrambled eggs, bacon, and bėchamel sauce with sharp cheddar for the sauce when I was a kid. It's one of the things I make when I feel nostalgic. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's such a classic breakfast dish.

Lines everywhere were crazy so I remembered this review and we headed o er to NY NY for the Chin Chin breakfast buffet. Thank you so much- it was awesome. The buffet itself was amazing and to to also receive omelettes and eggs Benedict made it a great value. Just ordering Eggs Benedict at Aria is as much as this entire buffet. Thanks for recommending it!

Great review! We love to stay at NYNY. Our fav. I have had their breakfast buffet and also ate there as a Chinese restaurant. Both are fantastic. 😋 I have $100 f/b credit my next stay and will go here for sure.😁 Love your Vegas content👍

Thank you for watching. Travel, believe it or not, is a state of mind. New things can be found a mile away or 10,000 miles away... and travel can be as expensive as as u like OR it can be extremely cheap too, here is an example: a Person in Los Angeles can do a Vegas Day Trip for $48... Airfare with Spirit from LAX to LAS round trip on weekdays can be found for 40 bucks. Eat a big big breakfast and bring an empty water bottle then fly to vegas, once in Las Vegas, an all day bus pass is $8. Walk around, take pictures for your social media, and then go home the same night. $48 !

From the looks of the pancakes they were cooked on a pancake press, like a round waffle iron with flat sides so they cook evenly.

Hey Danny! I can't find the video I would prefer to make this comment on but that one you did where the guy sat down and asked you where calling you "the medic" came from. You said it's a long story. Then you did that series of (mostly) quick cuts that featured bits and pieces of you explaining where "Danny the Medic" came from... without ever revealing it to the viewing audience. That was brilliant! One of the funniest... No! Make that THE funniest bit any Food Reviewer Vlogger has included in any Food Review video I've seen. And I've seen a lot of them! Great work, dude!!! Keep on keepin' on!

So yes this was expensive but I think you’re seeing like me that it’s a new world and you just have to look for quality and be willing to expect yet be willing to pay for it. Here they did it right by keeping a smaller buffet well stocked with elevated items and fresh.

I prefer a small breakfast buffet. I know what I want for breakfast and it will probably all be served on even a small or small-ish breakfast buffet. Here's what I want, and I don't mean all of it at one breakfast: Eggs (fried, scrambled, whatever), hash browns or some other potatoes, bacon, corned beef hash, chicken fried steak, fried chicken, bagel and cream cheese, OJ, coffee.)

Danny, I do remember all the other videos that you were talking about regarding the pancakes and crepes not cook correctly on both sides. I too hate it when they rush and not do it correctly.

Oh Danny boy!!!--Those cheese bombs you mentioned at the start were actually one of your go to side dishes--There just huge potato tots and I hear there the best!!--I was waiting for you to try-um cause i know there ur go to--I remember you ordering a burger or a cheese steak with tots for u to eat in the hotel room--and they gave u fries instead--And u marched back on down and made them change it to tots!!--i think u would of really enjoyed the ones at this buffet--love what you do brother--keep cool down there--later!!!

I suppose you can say it is overpriced, depending on how you see it. its 28 bucks, and you get the buffet plus made to order menu.... that is a good value since one can eat more that what $28 can get at a sitdown made to order place, but then if you are saying you can take your $28 to southpoint or the village pub.. woooooooo

Great video Danny! I used to stay at NYNY a lot. It was even the first hotel in Vegas I stayed at after 9/11. There were memorial flowers all around Liberty. That mural (if it’s still there) over check-in had the skyline of Manhattan with the Twin Towers, it was emotional. That said Chin Chin (a Los Angeles based chain) was there and that breakfast buffet was there. I looked it over and didn’t see the fresh offerings either and passed. That’s 20+ years ago and the signage doesn’t tell you STILL. Hard to believe. It looked very good, back then I think it was in the 10-12 dollar range and common for the time. I may have said this on an earlier video. NYNY holds a special place in my heart. Besides being an original NYer, I got my only dealt Royal, there. It was an 8/5 Bonus 25¢ machine. Good luck finding one at that level now.

They raised the price and started with the eggs benedict and the omelets after the pandemic. Before that the price was in the teens and did not include those.

For the Strip, the price wasn't bad at all and looks to be good quality. They named it an 'American' buffet so that people didn't think there was Chinese food, too. Makes sense to me. Will give it a shot. Thanks, Danny! Hope you had a great trip!

it REALLY depends... I am lactose intolerant... this was breakfast and was the beginning of the day where I have things to do and people to meet... cant be farting everywhere and on everyone I meet.. but if It was LATE at night, and I was just gonna go back to my hotel room OR if there is nobody to meet.. hehehehehehe

For my videos: I definitely always do taste the items. and then I may or may not eat the full portions off camera. When not making videos, I eat the full portions unless something is wrong

I never hear anybody gave rating for a Jello dessert. This place does offers decent morning meal. but too bad not walking distance of my favorite lodging. Danny did not drink tap water. So how was the coffee or tea?

I did drink the tap water.. no? I guess if you didnt see it, it was off the frame or something.. this one had no free soda, so I definately remember drinking the tap water because coffee I drank at the end kinda.. coffee was standard.. as a matter of fact, im gonna make myself a cup of coffee right now!

So Sorry, I just realized what you are talking about!!!! What happened is that I use two types of editing software. imovie and wondershare filmora .... I normally ONLY use imovie, and that is all you see. and the intro text is on the bottom that says "food and travel with danny the medic". Wondershare comes in IF after I am done with imovie, and there are some things I need that imovie cannot do.. This time, I forgot to put the text on the bottom, I realized that AFTER I transferred the footage to WF, so I went with a WF intro, this is perhaps the first and only time it happened like this.. I wont be using that intro again.

Great review, but the math in my head indicates that my wife and I together with tax and tip would throw down $70 bucks for this super basic, small buffet. I don’t think so. It’s time to walk to McDonalds.

I hope this breakfast buffet falls flat on its face. MGM does not need another buffet when they already have Luxor/Excalibur and MGM right across the street. This is a Chinese restaurant so the logical choice would be a Dim Sum buffet.

OMG a DIM SUM BUFFET would be SO GOOD.... but you know that breakfast buffets from restaurants that arent really buffets are quite common in casinos.. I remember AC ballys had their bucca de beppo offer a $20 AYCE breakfast buffet option.. I love AYCE breakfast offerings because paying per dollar for breakfast just dont seem worth it to me....
