"Frittata" means "fried". But I see everyone bake them. I start the same way. Fry whatever you want with the eggs first in the pan. Whip 6 eggs well. Add to pan, But use a low heat and put a cover on it. Steam builds up and puffs the eggs beautifully. They will rise enough to push the cover off. That is when they are done! They form a great crust and very soft puffy eggs. And no need to heat the oven.

@@elkoku2002 Glad it worked for you. I use a tablespoon of sour cream to add depth and creaminess. Put a thin layer of cheese on top some times. The steam will make the eggs puff up enough to lift the cover.

I have sooo much respect for you Gordon! I named my son after you! Just kidding, he is named after my father who is also Gordon! You are an amazing chef and truly an Icon. I think it is amazing how you can go 2 a country and will study a dish, learn it's history and then recreate it without trying 2 improve upon it, or act like a pompous ass and think you can better it. No, you show it the respect it deserves and you honor it, and you showcase it for the genuine dish it is. THAT is one of the many things that makes you an amazing chef in my opinion. You have earned the stellar reputation that you have and I think you are great!

I know some people, like myself, can visualize things like pictures, movies, etcetera in three dimensions. I know some folks can do the same thing with sound. I seem to be able to do the same thing with flavors I have experienced. I can take flavors I have tasted in my life, or even scents I have smelled and associated with flavors, and mentally knit them together into a mental “flavor profile”, and sort of “taste” what those flavors should taste like together. I can’t be the only person who can do this in the world obviously. Do you, Master Chef Gordon Ramsay, also have this talent or something akin to it? Do you know of other folks who might have this talent? I’m curious if this is something that other folks experience, or if this is all just in my head somehow. 😊
@unknownplite
@unknownplite 2 жыл бұрын
It’s crazy how some people’s minds work completely differently. I can do all of these things, I can feel, taste, smell, see, and hear all in my head, but some people can’t do any of that and it’s just mind blowing. Some people don’t even have an inner voice that kind of narrates what they do and it’s just weird to me.

I'm not a chef, but I believe you should add the fennel seed after the oil has heated up and before the onions.

That "frittata" is disgusting... As Italian, I feel quite hurted by this video.🤢 FYI , the general idea behind Italian kitchen, is to use few and quality ingredients, in order to feel and appreciate all of them... Italian kitchen does not mean mixing randomly all the Italian ingredients that you have around

There was a video, about dating with an Italian, and one of the tips was to never cook Italian food for an Italian because no matter how much you do your research, your understanding of Italian food will differ from her understanding of Italian food

@@subutaynoyan5372 That would actually work in many cultures. It's like me going in any Asian country and cooking Asian food for the locals... It just doesn't work, unless I live years and am trained by locals in said cuisine, which Gordon is neither, his mentor was French.
