As a Thunder fan i love this trade. Giddey will thrive with the ball in his hands. He didnt fit OKCs current playstyle and killed the spacing. He's a great passer (Slob king), has a nice floater and very good cutter. Hes great in the pick and roll. Best of luck to Giddey. Caruso has come home (OKC blue) and has spent time under Mark Daigneault. He will be a seamless fit. Exciting times.

OKC here. Giddey's weakness is his % from distance and his slow defensive feet. But he's an excellent rebounder and passer. And he's pretty deadly within 12 feet of the basket. He just didn't fit with the direction the Thunder are going. Look up his hightlight reel. No one in Chicago should immeditately write this off as a bad trade.

@peternut358 that's kinda why I mentioned the timeline in my comment. Having 30 somethings doesn't really make sense anymore. Keeping Lavine also might derail his growth. Colby White didn't truly take off until Lavine was gone with injury

Giddy is a top 3 pick in this year’s draft. Number 6 when he was drafted. He’s only 21 played 80 games AC is 30 and is always injured. Giddy could not ball out in OKC because of SJA. Giddys IQ is Of the scale and he will strive with the Bulls. Nice trade Thanks AC go get a chip dawg!!

Giddey and Coby white is a really nice backcourt to build around. They will tank and trade Lavine Derozan and sit lonzo or trade him. They are banking on Cooper Flagg or Ace Bailey for next years draft

People need to Chill. Giddey is a 21yo play maker who had the ball taken out of his hands and the Bulls now get the chance to have a PG that makes his teammates better and the Bulls fans are going to be surprised how good Giddey is going to be.

He averaged 16 and 6 prior to the pedo issue and is only 21. Hes a solid talent thats arguably better than anyone you could get in this years weak draft. Also Multi mid 1rd picks < Giddy. Happy for Caruso

As a Thunder fan, I say the Bulls won the trade unless OKC has more in store. Giddey will be a player that the Bulls will have for at least the next 5 years and he will still be improving. Even if it is only marginally from here on out. Caruso is a nice 3 and D piece, but he is 30, has an injury history, and has no guarantee passed the season. This is a close trade that has more upside for the Bulls.

Nah. OKC won this trade. Caruso had Way more value than Giddey. Teams were offering multiple 1st round picks for Caruso. And to not have to give up any picks is a win for OKC.

It's a Win Win for both teams. Bulls are Building and got a Young Player with Tremendous Upside. And freed up some Cap to make more moves. OKC is a Contender, and got 1 of the Best Defensive Players in the league. Again. Both teams won.

Giddey is going to bring the IQ that Zach lavine lacked in the backcourt. Coby, Ayo, giddey, Williams and Terry are all good passers, I see the bulls running a much more uptemp style and aggressive style of ball this season. Hopefully we can get a lethal 3pt shoot and reliable big man depth via vucevic and lavine trades + selecting the right player at 11, we may be in for an exciting season

Giddey is good but doesn't fit our system. Dub, Shai, Chet all like to attack the rim and the first two are efficient, Giddey isn't as efficient as them but keeps attacking which clogs the paint. He's also more of a Nash type, create first which makes him an odd man out cuz we don't need creativity when most of our players already create for themselves. A team that needs a guard would benefit from him. Lonzo is always injured so Giddey will solve your creation problem. If you got shooters he will find them as i think on his day he can be a top 5 passer in the league, it doesn't show cuz he didn't do that much for us cuz we don't need a creator when our guys create their shots, he was redundant. Hope he succeedes there, just line him up with shooters and you'll appreciate him. But thanks for Caruso. Former thunder player, he played under Mark in the G League with the Blue and adds to an already top 4 defense so we should shut mfs down with ease any day. A Shai, Dub, Caruso, Dort, Chet defense is a nightmare for anyone, idc who it is. We also have Dort 2.0 in Cason coming off the bench and Jaylin the charge master. Also Caruso shoots way better than Giddey from deep so we def gonna be tough. We just gotta add a backup big or tall wing guy and we are set for another glorious year. Can't wait for next season already. Good luck Bulls.
