One of the interesting things about finding out Walt was the one who poisoned Brock is that it recontextualizes the previous episode. Gus's "sixth-sense" about the car actually makes perfect sense. He knows he wasn't the one who poisoned the kid, but Jesse seems to think it was him, the only logical conclusion was that it was Walt who did it to try to orchestrate an attack

18:08 I love this moment in Breaking Bad reactions, everyone is on Walt's side in the last episode thinking walt would never poison a child, just to find out... Also it shows why Gus knew something was up last episode with the car scene. Looking back his thinking is probably along the lines of: he knew someone poisoned Brock, he knows it wasn't him, why would someone poison this random kid, was Jessie acting weird back there, there is some sort of trap here.

Yeah, that ending pretty much sealed my disdain for Walter. Once a child gets hurt and involved, that's it for sympathy from me. Getting ready for a roller coaster of a final season. I'm glad you had your mind blown by this episode.

The moment of realisation at the end was priceless ahhahah

The music when Gus goes into the hospital is Goodbye, by the German musician Apparat. There's also a version with lyrics which was used as the theme song to the Netflix series Dark, also well worth checking out.

Gus knew he wasn't the one who poisoned Brock, and he may have read the situation as someone luring him to the hospital. As he was walking to his car he realized it was left unattended. He didn't exactly "know" something was up, but he's so careful that he didn't want to take any chances. At least that's how I see it.

I remember watching this and spending the entire episode wondering "What the hell is the plan here?" I was on the edge of my seat the entire hour. I loved watched your face during all the realizations throughout the episode, and there are a _lot_ of them. Naturally, everyone is excited about Gus walking out of the room again (I gasped and yelled "that's impossible!"), or the quiet little aerial dolly shot to the pot of lilies of the valley just when you thought it was safe to start breathing again and were feeling like it was an unambiguous happy ending. But for my money, what I loved the most was watching you realize that Francesca was shaking down Walt, hahaha.

And now you know why they titled the episode "Face Off"

This has to be among the best finales in TV history, the show could've ended here and I still would've been completely satisfied

All the way up to this point in the series, I had been on Walt's side, even if I didn't entirely agree with some decisions. But that ending made me realize that, as you said, Walt was gone.

Just a thought that popped up, but I think you could pull of a pretty good Heisenberg cosplay when Halloween comes around

This is one of my favorite episodes by far. Just love that ending.

I just noticed a plot hole. How can Beckie have an old key that works with the front door? Skyler changed the locks during the divorce.

Walt’s plan was ingenious He crafted a situation where he could scapegoat everything off on Gus. Sudden poisoning? Jesse’s only logical leap would be the ricin, especially when he sees he no longer has it. Targeting a kid? Not out of character for Gus And how Walt completely sold it by making sure he could rationally argue all of it as a means to turn Jesse against him, when really he planted a fake move by Gus and played the victim. His ability to gaslight Jesse is horrific

There's actually a funny if disgusting story about a Reddit user (because, of course) who placed a bet that if it turned out Walt was the one who poisoned Brock, he would pull a Bear Grylls, and drink his own pee. I am not joking.

Everyone in the show's crew fully acknowledged how unlikely it would be that the timing would work out for Walt to get the poison to Brock, though they insist they did work out a way that it would be possible.
