This song was so fun to play and record!!! It was the first time working with a new sound engineer, and he mixed the external drums to the original track so well, that it may not even seem like I am actually playing. I do not play Rock songs much, because doing a cover sounds sloppy if it is not matched to exactly what the original drummer does. So if it sounds off, it's not because the engineer mixed it so well.

I've watched three of your videos, & am sold. You should be in a high profile band. You have the chops, along with showmanship. ThatZ rare. I do agree that you, @ times, overplay... But you are amazing to both watch and listen to. For what ItZ worth, I've been playing for 26 years and teaching for 12, now. Keep it up.

If any current band doesn't snatch this brother up soon, if he not in one already then what are they waiting for. That song is probably the most challenging play for a drummer in my opinion and the foot work is just as fast as your hands too... you got a fucking gift kid....

I notice he goes into that zone and it appears his eyes goes closed halfway through the song. Again thats fucking impressive.... That dude has probably played that song, what couple hundred times or more...

This guy is awesome! The 1 thing I struggle with playing guitar covers is trying to put a piece of myself in the song and making it sounds like it belongs but unfortunately most people want to hear the song played exactly as the original. IDK maybe its easier to do with drums than a guitar but regardless this guy pulls it off every time. I've tried to learn drums but it wasn't meant to be lol. Great job Ian!

I disagree with some of the comments about tricking up the song too much. It is a drum cover and he is adding his flavor to it. Of course he is going to take some indulgences to showcase his talents. I think he stayed on the safe side of being too tricky and honestly enjoyed it. I think it's a stylish cover. Props.

I agree that you should play the song how it should be played and try not to do too much. Put your own twist on it but build up to it. If not the whole song sounds the same with no crescendo and the beginning and end sound the same. You’re a good player kid but stick to your fundamentals

great skill and speed but sometimes when you do too much it ruins the song. also when i look up drum covers i wana learn how the song is actually played as accurate as possible to the original and this one is not very accurate. no hate, just saying. overall great drummer though!!

Every drummer has their own respective style. If all you are going to do is critique this man's drumming, get out...his own twist on the song makes it excellent.

I can maybe see where you're coming from but two important words need to be emphasized here... DRUM COVER. Meaning, not only will it showcase the drumming aspect of this particular song but it will also have it's own particular flavour to it, being a cover. That is exactly what I was looking for when I stumbled upon this excellent cover. Find me a better cover of this song, drumming or otherwise. This guy is a very good drummer, he could have easily drummed the spit out of this song for real. /respect

learn how to play the song and try too follow the original track and not like some random stuff, sometime can you make a own fill but not all the time. Think about that to next time
