I did security for one of their shows. I was the pit bull... In charge in front of stage. Two things: crowd was fantastic, best large group of rowdy fans I saw through the years and the music kicked arse as usual... The band was class act, professional, and genuinely decent, truly liked them. Class? They thanked all of us in security for doing what was "our jobs". May not mean much to most of you, but that became a very rare courtesy in small venues over last 20 years.

This song had just came out and was all over the radio when my husband kicked me and our kids out and moved another woman in. That was 20 years ago and I was devastated. Music has always been my therapy good or bad so I’m constantly listening to it. Listening to this song reminds me of surviving the most mentally painful moment of my life. Melissa, Well to me it just basically means that for example if you were in a relationship that person took everything from you, is like you gave them all without receiving anything or expecting anything back. However your partner just let a whole on you full of pain and disappointment, because while you were pretty busy trying to satisfy your partner you ended up forgetting about yourself and also end up hurting yourself. Note: I'm that's my opinion.

He really is a sweet guy. Before they were well known, they used to play at this club in eastern Pa where my friend's band at the time played, they are from Pittsburgh as you know but we were from the Philly area. I remember meeting them the first time when they were handing out demos. I liked them ever since and that seems so long ago. Good times. I still have that demo cd too someplace.

I can't stress how important this song is to me. My daughters dad and I had an intensely painful end to our relationship there's nothing like it and every single word to this song describes it "So sacrifice yourself and let me have what's left, I know that I can find the fire in your eyes I'm going all the way, get away please You take the breath right out of me you left a hole where my heart should be you have to fight just to make it through because I will be the death of you" it was the equally the same pain for us both this song is so important to us!! Everyone has a reoccurring number in their life kind of "symbol like" his is 23 mine is 7. A little while after we officially seperated....Breaking Benjamin was on tour and the date was 7/23!!!! (2019) And he took me we both cried during this song! And since then we have managed to get along. Seperated of course but we are able to co parent for the first time. Such closure amd understanding of the others pain that this song gave us both.Thank you so much BB you truly saved our hearts!!!!!!!

I haven't heard this song in a long long time. Maybe 10 years, but I was driving home from work and I had the radio on for some reason and it came on and I transported back to 2006 when my wife was still alive and we were alot younger. She freaking loved this song and I at the time was like no way, I'll stick to my Slayer and Exodus, but she had me play it on my stereo real loud and I gave it a chance and the chorus with that hook got me and ill be damned I loved the song. We used to listen to it back then and before the kids and everything. Reminded of a time that seems like it was just yesterday and actually was along time ago. She passed a year ago in April suddenly and it brought back all this memories from our times when we first met and all the hard memories of her month long slip into eternity. Now it's our 14 year old daughter and I trying to pick the pieces back up. We are lost but we have each other. I hope everyone has a good day and tell your people you love them because they can leave anytime. I never thought it would happen to us like this but life is unrelenting. Take care 🤝

Breaking Benjamin's "Breath" is simply one of the greatest rock songs of all time. The instrumental arrangement is brilliant, the lyrics are intelligent, the music manages to capture that sadness of being a helpless and depressed young man in a poetic way. I think "Breath" is an unfairly underrated song.

BB was a huge part of my youth and this week it gave me some strength and being heart broken. I had to get a little angry because I was so hurt. So thanks to these guys for getting me back on my feet after having my heart ripped from my chest

I used to send my son Harlen the words to this song & bow while he was in prison. He passed 2 yrs ago & he always took my breath away. And the bow & I will not break was hopefully encouragement to never bow or break. I wonder if I can ever get my sad, lonely breath back. RIP I love you sweet pea.

Saw them with Korn in Charlotte a few weeks ago...a completely amazing show. This band is incredible and I just love their music....his voice is so clear and they really know how to bring down the house. I can't wait to see them again!!!

Without going into detailz, this song has been and always will be the one song that goes someway to understanding me and my son, Particularly the lines.... LEFT A HOLE WHERE MY HEART SHOULD BE... no one part of a song has ever affected my conscious side like those 8 words. My fav song of not just phobia but every Breaking Benjamin album.

Seen them 3 times now. This song is STILL the highlight of their show. Lead singer of Starset sang this with them this last show (spring 2022 season) Absolutely AMAZING!
