I’ve been telling people for years now this 4yeo is coles best album yet I’ll even go as far as saying that it’s better then “2014 forest hill’s” it’s just so deep and impactful truly a masterpiece and I hope he makes some type of sequel to it

4YEO is definitely Coles most unique body of work. The album actually has personality to it. Not trying to say Cole’s other music doesn’t, but it definitely stands on its own when trying to compare.

@@WyWidit's a concept album, people are into albums with a deep concept rather than just what sounds good. it's how you earn respect as a rapper by making an artistic masterpiece. it's easily cole's best executed album. if u prefer fhd then u probably don't understand 90% of what cole says

I remember vividly people hating this album cause it came out after 2014 FHD, and were expecting something with hits like that album. People were saying this album is a miss and boring but over the last couple of years it's finally getting the credit it deserved to begin with.

4YEO is one of the most underrated story telling master pieces in Hip-Hop history. Cole is an unbelievable storyteller and while I agree wet dreamz is his best storytelling song the entire album of 4YEO is a masterclass storytelling performance

I remember when this album first released.. I was on a flight leaving Seattle, cold was the night, and wet was the rain. I listened to she’s mine pt.1&2 and wept as we took off. J. coles music has been a huge impact on me since 2012

The titled track, “4 Your Eyez Only” made me cry first time I heard it. People sleep on that album and to be honest, they sleep on Cole as a whole. It’s a shame.

Tbh 4YEO is the best album out of the big 3. It’s one of the only concept albums to stay consistent the whole way through and not deviate. It has bangers, thought provoking songs and lyrical tracks. Like someone else said if Kendrick did the same people would glaze it but at the time everyone’s called it a snore fest. It made Jcole more hungry getting that feedback but regardless this is my favorite Cole album
