To be honest, I feel that rolling brings more life to the game. I thought hypertapping was the end for people that physically can't tap that fast, but rolling is not only much easier on a physical level, it has even more potential than hypertapping. Of course, this does mean that in the future, this version of Tetris will start looking like the other nes Tetris where it's all about who can play for a few hours, but that will be awhile

@@DJBSharpMusic I don’t think a measured turn based game where you actually play against someone is much like tetris where the competition is mostly just racing solo for max points. And the carefulness and method in tetris is largely mechanical skill and reflex and speed in determining position. Chess is about memorization and creativity. Tetris is more like rubix cube competitions.

Rolling will take over the competitive scene far slower than hypertapping did. That is because its competitive edge lays in deep 29 territory, whereas hypertapping has an immediate and huge advantage over DAS, even from the early game. Sure, you can stack even higher with rolling on 18 and 19 too, than you will with tapping, but unless you're Cheez going up against Dog, you most likely wouldn't want to. It is however, a great way for DAS players to get on par with tappers again. If anything, rolling will make competition much closer, making it near damn impossible we'll see another 7 world title streak, ever again.

Every culture has its own language that's just how it is. You can very easily look up a glossary but our brains are hardwired for language

@MrFiendinpotter 2 жыл бұрын
You aren't expected to know the lingo. If you see something that interests you, check it out. Watch the same videos people on that group watch and you'll pick it up quick. Things like jargon are good because that comes about where there is alot of depth in a topic so the community needs to build it's own language to discuss it easily. For example in Tetris here, if you were immersed in it, you wouldn't want to describe how its each player holds the controller with a full paragraph each time, so you just say Hypertapped or Roller or w/e. Bigger para than I meant to type but the take away is just, watch the same stuff as people your interested in joining and the rest will come, dont put pressure on yourself or paint others unkindly from anxiety.

Wow That was so insane that I wasn't sure if the comeback was a reverse sweep or what actually happened until Cheez won

Being "GameScouted" is to Tetris what being "Posterized" is to Basketball.

I am very tired and have a very big headache and I don’t understand anything in this video; I have been having trouble understanding things lately. But still I really enjoyed this, you have a professional tone and this was calming to watch, and a nice comeback,

Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only person playing certain games: NES tetris has a competitive scene, this possibility is impossible to me.

The amount of split-second decisions that top-level players have to make is astonishing. Videos like this that can break down the board at any given moment, analyze what the players have to work with, and detail what needs to be done in order to win are sincerely fascinating.
