Honestly all my gripes were addressed early in the video. Im willing to bet the players dropping off are those sick with trying to keep up with the meta using real money. Ive loved FIFA since 07 and every time ultimate team was available, i could use players i liked and still compete because the foundations of the gameplay was solid but FC24 is a HUGE deviation from the casual fun playstyle. I used to be a solid D1/D2 player whilst using cheaper teams. This year im struggling in D8 for clean wins. Constant mechanics abuse that forces me to play uncomfortably and when i do finally get a stranlehold on the game, my team crumbles and cant make passes or make decent touches. This game is a frustration simulator in game and even in the menus. The list of issues this game has is abundant and its a real shame to see how badly the game seems to be doing for those who dont/wont/cant keep up with the meta

People stopped : 1) Because we spend time breaking cards doing SBCs rather than playing the game 2) Most pay to win ever game 3) Women in Football.

The reason is the impossibility to pack good cards without spending a lot of money on it... Gameplay is another issue actually but mostly the inaccessibility to the majority of the top tier players

No matter what they do I think long term players have just lost the taste for it - mainly because they treat they're customers in bad taste

It's so funny that this data solely reflects the number of games played with tradeable cards in Ultimate Team. Now, if you have a first owner tradeable card with 30 million games played, but you have never listed it in the market, it will not count. 😂 EA loses 60% of its players.

This is not a surprise. I was playing this game as a hardcore (not getting more than 11 wins in champs). The problem is: me playing this game means I will keep dumping money into untradeable promo packs. Fut champs and rivals isn’t fun, because the game isn’t fun, unless you have all the broken players etc. also the meta is changing all the time, so have to keep learning new broken mechanics. I’m glad i stopped playing this game in december.

Been playing FIFA since FIFA09 and started ultimate team during FIFA16 when I had adult money to buy PSN subscription. I always play FUT all the way to summer promo every release, until EAFC24. Didn't buy the game, and didn't care at all about it. I thought I was gonna miss it since this game is such a big part of my life (I spent an average of 20hrs every week and played all my FUT Champs game), but it actually made me more stress-free in life Looking back, this game was just so bad overall. Not necessarily the gameplay that was bad, but other aspects of the game

It has so many views because, deep down, there's nothing more unifying than the collective desire to see a titan fall.

You could make the argument that EA has "lost" about 60% of its tradeable players (of course it's dependant on the overall games played, so it's going to be different from 60% but still a drastic change). Also a very interesting topic that could be covered, the motivations and potential outcomes (pushing EA points sales and making more money imo). To the people that criticize EA as a whole. As a company they're doing exactly what they're built for, which is making more profit, which makes the shareholders happy. I don't believe that most people that are outraged, if they were shareholders would say sth like "We've made more profit than before, but because the game is shit we need to change everything for the better". They would most likely take those profits and ask for more profit-based changes. Then you have different divisions/teams for each game, a gameplay team, a content team, a marketing team, etc. EA as a company don't decide which player gets a UT birthday SBC and which PlayStyle + they're going to have, those decisions are probably made by the content team. Shitting on EA as a whole doesn't help the situation, shitting on teams withing EA doesn't help the situation either. What can help is constructive criticism, because it shows that you're on the side of making the game better, which the devs also want to do (maybe not all of them, but there are always some of them. Sometimes they're bound by guidelines given to them from above, but ultimately they are on our side. If we don't tell them our genuine feedback, how are they supposed to know? Stay positive and constructive

Yep the ‘insane SBC’s’ don’t help as they give the wrong aura of what is happening. We need better tournament and rewards together with a clear percentage of packing promotion players or 87+ etc until then the community will just continue to lose patience. The fact that we have lost tradeable packs, league sbc’s, and the type of rewards from those rewards nerfed - the first reasonable playable and competitive football game could take a large portion of EA’s player base.

Only play for pro clubs now. There is no point in continuing UT due to already having an 'end game' team. No enjoyment or motivation to carry on playing.

I think the problem with EA is that they don't care enough about their audience to make the changes needed to make this game salvagable and enjoyable to play thats why a lot of people are sick and tired with their antics and revel in any downfall or mishap of ea sports all loyal fifa fans want is stable gameplay and not to be ripped of big style every year with obscenely priced packs and FC points its so clear to see the more money you put in the game the more of an advantage you have which is fine if its 20 quid here and there like micro transactions for other games but with this game you don't compete unless you throw hundreds of pound a year at the game which is just mind boggling and dispicable in my honest opinion

As a casual player who has been playing fifa's for years it annoys me where we are at the moment with this instalment of the franchise ( pay to win is so strong this season ). There is no doubt the player numbers have dropped but as explained in this video alot of us run RTG teams and sbc's are how we all improve our squads. EA definitely need some real competition next season for the good of this game!!
