It's because the coaches y'all have can get good players and develop them but they just don't know defense or something.. Domani Jackson left for a reason in my opinion.. they didn't know how to use him and I think that's a turn off for alot of DB's.. but you guys are still recruiting really well and y'all have a great offense usually.. your problems are on defense if y'all can get another QB to step up & changed your defense for the better USC would be hard to beat

Very intelligent response. Riley is an excellent passing offensive coach. Having followed his career though, he doesn’t put enough emphasis on defense. To win nationally, you have to be multiple and balanced on offense with run and pass to keep defenses honest. More importantly, you have to be able to run the ball when you want to sustain drives and then be able to stop the run to get off the field on defense. To this point, Riley hasn’t exhibited a commitment as a HC to do that. Doesn’t mean that he won’t in future years but those of us in the SEC would like to see USC in the Bug Ten race and nat’l picture.
