In this episode, we explore how early-life trauma triggers a freeze response in the body, contrasting its implications with those experienced later in life. We also dive into anxiety and how to view this sensation from a different lens and to understand it is a language of the cell. Most importantly, we share how to move past trauma responses and anxiety through a number of ways, and most importantly through connecting with your conscious breath.

Yes! Like Deanna said, I was so locked away for so many years that I had forgotten what diaphragmatic breathing felt like. So professionals would guide me through breathing exercises to calm down, and it would make me more anxious. Because I could only take shallow breaths so I was just hyperventilating, making me more anxious. Working on the fascial adhesions on my abdomen was life-changing

Another beautiful podcast. Thanks for being so vulnerable Deanna & Quinn. I love talking about subjects that have been considered taboo. So healing and liberating.

It's so much easier to prepare mentally for an event when I'm in a parasympathetic state and able to breathe properly. It saves me so much time now. Before I used to panic about the event, so it was harder to think and I would have to spend longer preparing

What Deanna said about not being able to speak to others because of anxiety made me think of selective mutism. I suffered from that for most of my life - I was so anxious I physically couldn't open my mouth. But after starting my fascia journey, I haven't had any issues with it. I wonder if selective mutism could be caused by fascia patterns? Maybe you get anxious, so you stop breathing properly. Then there's a pattern of adhesions connecting that to your jaw? It's so exciting - after decades of doctors not being able to explain what is going on in my body, everything is making sense. Thank you for your content!

Thank-you or maybe I should say, I feel grateful for both of you coming into my life and showing me the way. I have so much to learn and do. After decades of trying so many things that didn't work How exciting it feels to shed the old skin and start growing a new one. This journey, a thing called life. If you can go that low, think how high you can go. X

Simply amazing! Wisdom is with you guys. I lost my father and uncle in 2023. Also ended up with organ prolapse due to 3 anular disc tears and pelvic issues. I have flat feet and flat back. I was a Personal trainer 10 years ago and one of my credits in sports medicine is SMR so this automatically I connected with. My pain was bad but the first time I had an actual panick attack it brought on 6 months of upper chest breathing and severe anxiety. Your diaphragmatic breathing program put me back on track. I can say from watching your shows for about a month now I'm anxiety free. Unfortunately my brother is having severe IBS and digestive issues due from anxiety and sympathetic nerves from our loss.I'm working through these issues to address the prolapse and DDD. I went on a raw vegan diet and 2 weeks later and incorporating SMR with a foam roller I feel less pain and more ROM. I'm learning to walk with arches and working on posterior strengthening my back arch. I'm a new person. Literally crippled pain is leaving my body daily even better I'm anxiety free. So many people have chronic anxiety for years. I'm so greatful Yah brought me to your chanel. Now I'm re learning how to become amodextrous and coming back to my roots and passion in sports medicine.

I just stumbled on your video and I am so glad I did. I guess I have some extensive watching to do! Just wondering if small-fiber neuropathy in the feet was ever discussed and/or helped with block therapy. Thank you.

Hi there! Block Therapy helps open blood/oxygen and nerve flow by finding and melting the restrictions that were preventing flow. This means healing and feeling restored to areas that were previously blocked.
