Breaking Good News: USCIS Extends Work Permit To 540 Days
In this video, I discuss the announcement by USCIS to increase the automatic extension period for employment authorization and Employment Authorization Documents (EADs), available to certain EAD renewal applicants, to up to 540 days. Hi Team, My spouse EAD expired on 01/30/2022 and the EAD extension applied on 01/31/2022 which is the very next day after EAD's expiration. I wanted to check whether she is eligible to continue with her job based on a new rule of 540 days auto extension

For some states the driver license expires with the EAD card. How do we renew the driver license in that case? Other wise even though work authorization is extended our drive license will be expired and wont be able to drive to work.

Hello my priority date is 29/10/19 . And a week ago I filed for “out of processing time form” because they already passed my priority date. And yesterday I got a response in Email from USCIS stating that “ futher research is needed regarding the inquiry. You should receive correspondence within the next 90 days”. I don’t happened to understand what they were talking about exactly and what correspondence would be given on kindly elaborate for me please

Hello What we xan expect after the interview when the officer said he can’t approve now because we didn’t submit the medical examination (I-693) he said he’s going to send us the notice to go do it, then send it back to uscis. He also said he doesn’t want me to do another interview

Can please make a video on i130 petition for Alien relative. I’m a us citizen I’m waiting since 12 months for husband application. Recently I checked the uscis website where I found out that the processing time for us citizen applying for immediate relative is 11.5 in Texas, where for green card holder is only 7.5 months. This is crazy and it doesn’t make any sense to me

Good news, but the problem is that some employers require the physical EAD card with valid dates. Some employers do not care about USCIS rules as they have their own rules to follow.

that is right, No driver's licence, it is very discouraging and one has to drive without one. here in MN when finally they approve it it is given for a short time then again, frustrated almost feel suicidel nowhere to go

If your job has union, work with union. You should be able to work with extension.

@@fabiebee4270 u do not know his situation, alot of ppl feel that way. No job, no drivers license & no valid i.d. until it comes. Every one doesn't have the support system to sit around & be merry till it shows up

The main question in my mind: How properly to proof 540 days extension in the DMV for updating DL: print the entire formal pdf from the USCIS website or show them a link? I’m sure they would ask a physical confirmation like a notice which we don’t have…

Tell who? Show them the link to the official USCIS website with a clear statement about the extension. In addition to that on your EAD case recipient should be a reference about the 180 extension process ( now it is going to be 540). Good luck.

You need to apply for renewal of your EAD and when USCIS receives your paper work they will send you Form I-797, Notice of action letter .With the letter, your expired EAD and USCIS memo regarding the extension should be enough proof.I am not an immigration lawyer but that's my thought about it.

You need to fill out a one-page form, attach the fee ~410$, photos, and documents proving you're eligible, and submit it to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
