Haney is a good kid but he gets Ko’ed on Saturday in my opinion! He is a boring, no power puncher! But very good at it! That’s a compliment! I don't think he's 'better' per se, I think he is more disciplined, intense in his focus and extremely conditioned. Skill wise, he (Haney) uses his athleticism and skill to 'finesse' his way to victories. This isn't a bad thing, Floyd and many current day boxers do this and it works 90% of the time, AND they don't take much damage. So great game plan, great execution of the game plan - that is Haney. However, a focused ready and inspired Garcia can force Haney into a dog fight - then we will see the real Devon Haney. How does he react against someone bigger than him? How does he react to someone who's punches really hurt him? How does he react to being hit hard to the face? How does he deal with being knocked down? Etc etc. We know how Garcia reacts, he gets up and goes harder after being hit. He's proven this again and again. Haney has just weight bullies smaller older fighters and won by using his size and athleticism - and a bit of skill, but not as much skill as we realise. He looks more skilful due to his athleticism (and he has good skill no doubt), but when he's up against someone who is athletically the same if not better - and similar skilled, it's going to come down to one thing: who has the most dog in him on the night. Take into account that in his fight with Tank, Garcia had a broken ribs and everyone has acknowledged this fact - except the Haneys. So it's going to be a much closer fight than we all realise in my books.

For me Ryan still is not very technical - there are a lot of mistakes he makes and didn't look much better than in the Duerte fight. What really surprised me was how Devin was just not able to adjust to his speed. I get that Ryan is explosive but he was reacting like he was with Roy Jones level of athleticism. You would expect Haney with all his experience where he has seen all types of fighters in the gym and fighting Ryan previously to not be so surprised.

After watching the amateurs i think the way garcia was hitting haney would end the fight if there was no headgear and the 8 ounce gloves so if they fight like the amateurs i got ryan but since haney has improved i dont think that will happen but a agree with you that haney cant go 12 rounds with ryan who has 1 punch ko power so haney gonna got to ko ryan.
