If india wants to grow in football, 1.we must put a rule that , for every 5 years no of foreign players in isl should be reduced by 1 slot 2.We should select young players selected from isl and i league to play in saff cup and senior players should should play only in important matches such as afc cup, in this way young players will have experience before playing in important matches such as fifa wc qualifiers etc. 3.We should focus on a steady growth in rankings for example try to grow in rankings by 5 places every year so that we can be a better team in a period of 10 years. For example india current position 124 to 74 to 80 in 10 years. 4. Try to create quality football coaches by creating courses like iran did. 5. Try to play 2 - 3 matches with 5 - 6 teams with ranking 80 - 100 teams such as Luxemburg, uae, oman, bolivia, gabon, bahrain etc. 6. Should introduce state level football tournaments like kerala premier league in every state to identify talents for indian team. 7. Put a rule in isl and i league that from 2028 onwards every team should play with atleast one indian strikers in their team instead of foreign player. 8. Broadcast state level football tournaments of every state in television so that kids will become interested to play football like cricket. 9. Try to develop football from grassroots like japan did. 10.the indian football team should play atleast 15 - 20 matches with teams with a ranking of 70 - 95 other than saff cup to improve their ranking and experience. 11.we should concentrate on qualifying for 3rd level of fifa wc qualifiers and round of 16 of afc asian cup instead of winning saff cup.

Past is past. Lets not think about what did not happen, but look for the future. We need to get rid of many of the usual players in the squad and replace them with in form youngsters. The whole qualification was messed up by keep playing the familiar players for favouritism or what ever reason, it has costed us badly. So we need a coach who trusts youngsters. I cannot see any more Nikhil poojary, Suresh, Thapa, Deepak Tangri, Manvir singh etc...If they keep playing for NT, we can hope to reach 150 in no time.
