The coach has throttled CC so much, that is why she missed so many 3's in the 2nd pre season game. I agree with most of what peeps is saying here. I have watched CC from being a Freshman in H.S. and she has always been smart in when she only does her 3's. She needs to run the team when on the floor and be aloud to choose her own shots. She's smart enough to know when to pass, shoot and when to hold back. Coach sides says she is looking for the team to spread the defense out, but that won't happen when you're always making the team feed the center. Make the opponents go out to guard CC's 3's. Also make them use 2 - 3 to guard one player. That alone will spread the opponents out!

She should be under fire. Caitlyn needs to be left alone to play the same game she set all the records doing. It's evident she has the wrong Coach The WNBA had no one watching and Caitlin has changed that and is benefitting everyone. Sides is being contrary and openly criticizing her and that is wrong. This was Clarks first WNBA game for crying out loud! Give her a damn break! Plus, she's fresh off a long college season and she must be tired and now she's faced with carrying a WNBA team just weeks later! She'll get it together!!!

Sides should be feeling the pressure because the team is not playing cohesively and it's her job to make that happen. She'll have a honeymoon period early in the season but she needs to start getting results.

Now I’m worried Christie Sides is going to destroy the momentum. She is stifling Clark, not playing her in the correct spot, and it looks like other players are feeling defeated, as well. I've watched Iowa many times this year and this is the first game Caitlin passed up three point shots when they were there. The coach is already impacting her shot selection with the threes, wanting her to take the deep twos? Be serious!!! I haven't seen a super-star be this restricted since Dean Smith used the four-corner offense with Michael Jordan.

Hope CC will do her thing .. play for the fans for the team..not for the coach.

If the defense extends out to stop the 3, spread the court let clark take it to the rim. She was 6for6 Free throws, or passes, layups. When they back off again shoot 3s. Take what the defense gives you.

She needs some help on the floor as well as coach that will use her talents.

Here are my thoughts on the style of play the Indiana Fever need to run so that Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark can show the fans of the “W” what AB and CC do-and that straight up Ball! I like to her your sage thoughts 💭 Coach Sides won’t last past the Olympics break! The WNBA can’t afford for Caitlin Clark not to have her Stephen Curry moments of shooting about 25 to 30 shots a game-and yes I’m talking about launching 3$-which is her money shot and what the fans wants to see out of Caitlin Clark this year! Nobody cares if the Fever has a winning record in Caitlin Clark’s rookie season. Anybody that has coached or played basketball on any meaningful level knows it take more than three practices for a team to learn each others strengths and weaknesses and where they like to receive the ball at or the floor. If I were the coach of the Indianapolis Fever I would run the Paul Westphal offense (just run and gun and try to out score the Fever’s opponents!) Then during the offseason the Fever can work on their defense- and offensive sets…But, for this year… can we please turn Caitlin Clark loose and let her run the same offense she ran at Iowa-that worked… Iowa made it to back-to-back NCAAW Championship games! Therefore, the style of basketball Caitlin Clark needs to play has been time tested and proven. And I know her teammates won’t have a problem playing the Paul Westphal style of offense because of Caitlin Clark’s passing ability they would be getting a lot of layups and wide open spot up jump shots and 3$! Enough said…Call Coach Bluder so that she can show the WNBA fans would CC can do in Paul Westphal’s Run and Gun offense! The WNBA can’t afford to mess this up because as Eminem said-in “Lose Yourself…Look (WNBA you [have] one shot or one opportunity To seize everything you ever wanted in one moment, Would you capture it or just let it slip? Yo” (credit for the Eminem reference goes to “Behind the Line” podcaster. So come on WNBA owners of the Indiana Fever get Caitlin Clark and the rest of your Indiana Fever the coach they need or else you will [lose your fan base and that of the WNBA’$] or to quote Eminem - “Lose Yourself!”

CC22 is Great but her teammates are bums

I hope CC plays to her full potential. Her college stats indicate how talented she is. It is going to take time for CC to adjust to competing with and against equivalently talented athletes. It will take time for the coach to best determine how CC’s talents fit with her teammates. When Troy Aikman signed with the Dallas Cowboys it was several years and a new coach later before the athletes coalesced into a winning team, and they endured through some losing seasons before they reached their peak. Venus Williams did not immediately become the #1 seed in women’s professional tennis. The Fever team is going to have to mature together and it’s will take some time, no matter who is coaching the team. (Many of the impatient CC infatuated fans will and abandon CC before that happens.) Adopt a wNBA veteran for only $18.99 a month.

Let Caitlin Clark shine and stop trying to dim her light. There is a reason she is one of the greatest players to watch. Coach needs to let Caitlin do what she does best hit those 3 pointers from the logo. The fever is definitely struggling and needs to be more aggressive with their rebounding and lay ups.

As soon as I herd Coach Bluder retired from Iowa, my prediction is the coach from the Fever will get let go either at the end of the season or if they get off to a bad start right then and the Fever will hire Lisa Bluder since she knows how to coach CC!!

Indiana has a lot of good players. Give them some time. Maybe a bad coach, she has gotten first-round picks for a few years now, so it should start to look up.

Clark’s teammates can’t catch a cold. They have poor hands and fail to come to the ball when receiving a pass. The one back door cut by Samuelson there was no effort to go get it. Much of this is because most of the WNBA players are pretty one dimensional… dribbling a lot, shooting a lot because that’s what they’ve always done and except for bigs, it’s a new experience to score off a pass.

This coach has to realize that pressure is on everyone. The coach definitely needs to loosen up take a deep breath and let these players do what they do best!

The ten turnovers aren't the coach's fault. Clark will play better once she finds her stride.

The Fever had a month to make player changes and remake the offense to fit the player they drafted no 1 so they do t make themselves into a compleye joke. They failed! They tried having her on the ball, she struggled a bit with the doubles and turned it over. The took her off ball to make it easier for her to get open and handle the physicality

Looks like Sides is playing the team like she did last year. Which is why they only got 13 wins. Indiana is not an agressive team. Which will hurt them all season. They need to run man to man defense instead of zone. Indiana needs to learn how to be a transition scoring team. When Caitlyn isn’t on the whole team looks lost and no one wants to step up when she is being double teamed. Overall the approach isn’t looking good. But Caitlyn seems to be doing ok what she can with what she is working with
