Appreciate the tips! Used a long curtain rod instead of my jack kit. I was able to get my locks up with the rod.

Thank you sir. Funny story... My son has a 1997 f150 and I have a 1998 f150. He was out in the bush and broke a tierod. I went and rescued him but had to leave truck in bush. I left the keys in it once we got it off the road and then he got his riches out of cab and locked it thinking I had the keys. Not so funny yet? Well we got home and my daughter was driving my truck. She parked it and left the keys in the ignition. I spent a few minutes taking tools out of truck and not thinking I locked the passenger auto lock. Yep! My keys were still in the ignition. Got the old hanger out but could not see how to get the hanger in the door. I thought the door frame was to thick. So I went to my favorite helper, KZfaq. I used your method with a regular round mouth shovel and the jack handle out of my daughters 72 ford and was in the truck in 5 minutes. We will be taking the new key with us to climb on my son's truck. What are the chances of that, aye?

This worked great, I used a 6mm thick piece of plastic to protect paint and edge of door, then used a long wood clamp and wedged it against a piece of 1"thick piece of wood for leverage and another similar piece of wood to place between truck door and frame enough to use a probe a thin but sturdy piece of reed long enough to release door lock. took about 30 seconds... take that AAA!!!

I tried everything else. I think you're way is best .wish me luck.

Dumbass co-worker locked the keys in the work truck! This trick worked though thanks! I used a pry bar to get enough room to slip a straightened coat hanger around the door handle. We really need a spare key. Hahaha

Always do the passenger door.. If you bend it you won't be as annoyed every time you drive since it's farther away making windn noise

Also confirmed method, just broke into my f-150, same method. Used a hammer and 2 duct taped poles from a pop up tent. Now I can start my life of crime.
