And with all due respect, we’re not some random NHL team. We were playoff beats for 14ish years. The franchise had to turn things around. Grier is doing that. We have a passionate fanbase and hockey playing community. We also have sick jerseys and he’s gonna look great in them.

Glad the Sharks won the lottery. They suffered a lot over recent years while trying to improve but failed (such as the Erik Karlsson trade from Ottawa). Drafting Celebrini this year to add to Will Smith last year will give the Sharks solid foundation to build into a winning team.

OK, congrats Sharks fans! Hopefully in a few short years the Ducks and Sharks can go back to normal and be enemies again instead of just shameful bottom feeders that can't even look each other in the eye.

Teams in the 5-11 range can get the most electrifying player of this draft, the highest scoring d man parekh. Could be headed to habs, utah, seattle, sens, flames.

Do you think after the leak, they panicked and left the draft order as is without any changes

Or maybe that wasn't a leak and someone was just screwing with you. Remember how Bedard was 100% going to Arizona? Yeah, how did that work out? LOL

Well the next step is to not rush the kid and ruin him, which the Sharks are so good at doing with their top prospects….

First overall guys usually go straight into the league. Power didn't, but that was HIS choice to go back to school, not the team's.

I know people are relieved that Chicago didn't get the 1st overall pick, but they still got a top 5 pick and will draft a very good player (Most likely Ivan Demidov). I think the NHL higher ups swerved the lottery today to throw us off guard not be suspicious that they're rigging the draft in favor to help Chicago, but that's exactly what they're doing and that's helping Chicago rebuild their dynasty and get them back to the cup because they bring in the big bucks to the league. I would be surprised if they got a top 5 pick again in the 2025 pick and they end up drafting Gavin McKenna. Connor Bedard, Gavin McKenna & Ivan Demidov as your team's first line & core pieces will win you 4 - 5 championships for the next 10 - 15 years.
@doritosgaming1147
@doritosgaming1147 Ай бұрын
This is a ridiculous take. First of all chicago might not even draft demidov they are a really small team and might draft for size like lindstrom, second of all mckenna is eligible for the 2026 draft which is in 2 years I doubt the cocks are still going to be this bad. Not matter what happens in the lottery everybody says it’s rigged even when there is no surprise it’s ridiculous
@watchmanonthewall2151

The Hawks had the second worst record, 2nd best draft lottery probability, and ended up with the 2nd overall pick.
@cesarcanete3402
@cesarcanete3402 Ай бұрын
@@watchmanonthewall2151 That doesn't mean anything though. It's not record base like the NFL where the 1st, 2nd & 3rd worst teams automatically get the top 3 picks. It's a lottery & notice that they do the ping pong ball lottery process live to ensure that it's not rigged. It's more of a business than it is a sport & the higher ups go by the best business decisions, not by merit.
@watchmanonthewall2151
@watchmanonthewall2151 Ай бұрын
@@cesarcanete3402 You're not making any sense. The worse the record the higher probability chances you have at getting a higher pick. Plenty of legit analysts cover this, how the lottery works, in detail.

@AnaheimRob
@AnaheimRob Ай бұрын
The only real drawback to Demidov right now is his size. If he doesn't put on a good amount of muscle, he may not do as well at the NHL level as people think. He's a kid so over the course of a couple more years he probably will bulk up but it has to be a concern. He's not a big guy.
