@@hughjass1835 Insurance companies across the nation were on the verge of going bankrupt because the prices of cars skyrocketed, aka the cost of repairs, replacements, and rentals skyrocketed...all things the insurance companies provide. They didn't raise their rates fast enough to keep up with inflation of vehicle prices. They only just got around to it this past year and they aren't done. Aka, your governor(and all other governors) doesn't control inflation, and thus can do little to nothing to fix the issue of rising prices.

This really warmed my heart. I always knew DeSantis was a good guy, I think his running for president started a few unessesary fires within the republican party- which made me nervous for him. So to see that he's doing right by America and stepping down, as well as solidifying his support for Trump, makes me so happy. It's a unifying feeling. I think it shows that when it comes down to the wire- both Vivek and DeSantis will put their pride aside and choose America first.

Republican voters are doing exactly what the Dem prosecutors who have indicted Trump in various places hoped. We are on the way to nominating the one candidate who is a proven loser against Biden and who is irrationally disliked by the majority of voters in poll after poll. When I visited Florida in late 2021, I was amazed at the spectrum of folks there praising this man. The shopping malls in my state were completely empty. In Florida, business was booming. I told this to a random cashier at a JCPenney in (notoriously blue) southeast Florida - she replied that my state needs to change its governor to one like Ron.

I'll act as though you're serious. Florida had a health nurse whose job it was to track COVID-19. When she refused to lower the amount of infected people, DeSantis fired her. He appeared on television with one of her charts cut up and taped together to change her results. Being a virus denier isn't going against it.

I doubt it. He's a capable guy and a solid governer but he's also a true politician, a career man with no honor. A snake in the grass. He thought Trump was politically dead in 2020 and back stabbed him even though Trump put him in the spotlight. So instead of sticking up with Trump being his no.2 and wait for his chance in 2028 he betrayed him and ran early. He now realizes his miscalculation and the fact that he is the one who will be politically dead if he runs against Trump all the way. And now he hopes for Trump's pardon so he can join the Trump administration in some capacity and keep his lifeline in politics. I hope Trump never forgives him and puts him nowhere near his cabinet. There are other great choices for GOP in the future. Of course Trump will accept his endorsement cause naturally he needs Ron's votes but I doubt he would let him do more than serving ice cream in the White house. DeSantis is better off just governing Florida
