This is great for USA. Leonard was past his prime and injury prone plus use to being the #1 option. White is the perfect defensive guard that USA needs in these tournaments. To have the championship back court of Holiday and White will shut down any guards. Wing defenders are not as important as with FIBA rules bigs, like Embiid, Bam and AD can pack the paint. And unlike Leonard, White has FIBA experience, being on the USA that finished 7th in the 2019 World Cup, when he was still with San Antonio, so he will have a chip on his shoulder.
