Hi! I'm Korean and lived in Singapore my whole life ;) your suite view was amazing! It was actually the apartment that I used to live in when I was younger! Thats so cool! Just to add, I've chewed gum multiple times in Singapore, and let me tell you, its not much of a big deal :)

It was never illegal to chew gum in singapore, it was the sale which by the way, was lifted in 2004 where pharmacies sell gum now. Why the world thinks it is illegal is because of a smear campaign by the US to force/shame singapore when singapore stopped imports.

I have been to Singapore and the laws are crazy my mom told me that Singapore maybe a small country it is also the strictest country and people and one of the hardest accents to memorize.

I would like to make a comment, chewing gum in Singapore is not illegal, but if you sell it in Singapore, that is illegal, so chewing it is legal, I actually keep a whole drawer of gum in my house 😂
