No entry - if I try going into another country with the slightest imperfection in my passport I will be refused entry. BTW, as an indigenous tax payer who only once asked for state help when I had a brief period of enforced unemployment , there was nothing simple about getting any help at all. How about introducing a simple solution of stating that, if anyone arrives here by small boat, the back of a lorry, with or without documents, even after paying up to £10,000 per person per crossing, they will be deported/expelled, no if's or buts.

Sadly that one bit of the EU human rights document that Brexit didn’t fix properly is the trump card they use to extinguish that excellent idea. Probably find it’s a taxpayer funded non-indigenous lawyer who will defend their case. Utterly ridiculous and no appetite to change it.
