The shooter from the Trump rally is dead, Butler County's district attorney says. One spectator is also dead and another is in "serious condition," the DA says. NBC News' Tom Winter reports on what is known about the shooter.

BBC was on site @ rally. They interviewed a resident of Butler. They saw the shooter before shots fired. The group of friends were standing by some trees outside of venue, the group was waving at officers and pointing where the shooter was on a roof across from venue. The young man said the secret service saw them pointing but didn’t seem to understand what they were pointing at. The angle of the roof hid the shooter from the rooftop security.
