I think given that we’re bound to soft reboot the MCU post Secret Wars, you might as well let the Russo Brothers finish off what we may have left

Glad that the Russo Bros are in talks to direct the next two Avengers movies. My reaction was the Thor saying yes! scene in Thor: Ragnarok.

Disney could not live with their own overall failure post Phase 3, and where did that bring them? Back to the Russos.

They should've played this safe from the start with those they can trust who've already done it before. You had the directors and writers for the pinnacle of the MCU why not get them for the pinnacle of the entire Marvel history (Multiverse)?

I remember when Thor 4 got confirmed by outlets a week before 2019's SDCC, and when Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars got leaked and went on the route of being confirmed two years ago. This is what will happen to the Russos. The Duo will be announced to be the director of the Avengers movies, if not on the stage. I know it, and people would cheer.

I already said this somewhere down in the chat, people say they want new voices, but we’ve had new voices. And look Where that’s got us. Eternals, Ant-man three, she hulk, Hawkeye series, the marvels, Ms Marvel. ,,, We’ve had new voices and marvel has been stuck for the last three years, both in the movies and on Disney+. Why not go with the directors that know how to do two movies at the same time. And have directed the best all-time greats in MCU history? Marvel cannot afford to miss in this next line or they’re done. There’s no way this is bad news. I’m sorry, I might be on the minority on this but I don’t like the idea of The Russo Bros coming back to direct Secret Wars. People really need to move on from the Russos, they’ve had their time in the MCU and now it’s time to move forward not backwards. Bring in some fresh blood in the MCU, bringing in new people creates new opportunity and a possibility to improve even further on what the Russo brothers did, they did a superb job but let's just move on and give someone a chance to create something even great. IMO, they should bring the entire Loki team to write the next two Avengers movies. Aaron Moorhead & Justin Benson should direct and Michael Waldron & Eric Martin should write the script.

They said when they were doing the rounds for Endgame or around then that they would love to come back for a Secret Wars movie. Now apparently they have their wish. I wonder if this could delay the movies. They may want to put more of their stamp on it.

These guys are literally the best MCU directors out there. If they didn’t do it, I would have said someone like Peyton Reed (Pre Quantumania), Sam Rami, or Shawn Levy. But these two are Avengers directors and I trust that they will give it their all

I don't see this as a good news. Because A/ The Russos bros have consistently proved that almost everything they directed or produced after Endgame without Marvel were all stinkbomb (with the exception of Everything Everywhere All At Onxe, but that was much more a Daniels movie, the Russos only put their names on it for more recognition to the movie coz they saw it was awesome). B/, while they were certainly part of the MCU success (thanks to their part in the Captain America trilogy), at the time they helmed Avengers IW and EG, the MCU was on top of the world, an unstoppable juggernaut that was making or breaking theaters attendance. Where's the MCU at today ? In shamble ! Aimless, directionelss, without a definitive main antagonist that would rouse the troops together, with approximatively 648 more characters than in Endgame to juggle with. They're good directors, but the situation is VERY different than what it was pre-IW, and I'm not 100% sure their previous experience will actually help them this time around, ESPECIALLY if they want to bring in their own producing team.

Here is why the Russo's are the best Super Hero film directors period. -> They are character driven directors. They tell stories about the character's Steve Rogers, Bruce Banner, Peter Parker...and not "yellow spandex" guy. -> They are story driven. They tell stories that have an internal narrative logic - beginning, middle and end, where there is causality and continuity. Seems easy - but OMG have Marvel's directors for the last 5 years been clueless in this regard. -> They understand and like *action* - you can't fake it if you are a director of a super hero film and do not really like or understand comic book action scenes. Only directors who love action could have come up with Steve Rogers in the elevator surrounded by bad guys - but offering them the chance to get out while they still can. lol Only the Russo's would have found a way to redeem the notorious "Thanos Copter" by giving Thanos a gigantic helicopter rotor as a signature weapon. They even snuck in Secret Wars episode 4 - where Hulk holds up the building in Endgame. Only to have toxic fan boys whine because they didn't get to see more Hulk Smash, and they don't really know the comics 1/10 as well as the Russo's do, so they *missed* the Secret Wars reference! -> They understand and like actors and let them act. They let RDJ, Gwenith, Hemsworth, bring these comic book characters to *life* so that an adult doesn't feel like they are wasting their time - on something designed to appeal only to 7 and under kids. -> They understand thematics and all their films are about *something more* than mindless video game fake violence which is all so many of the toxic fans want. Winter Soldier was about the security bureaucracy of the United States run amok. Civil War set Civil Liberty against National Security til the Avengers were divided and destroyed by it. Infinity War did the unthinkable and had the heroes lose. Endgame asked the question what happens to the heroes - if they are defeated by the villain? Who are they, what makes them heroes really, if their powers aren't enough? They set a high standard, and it will be hard work to pick up the vandalized pieces of the MCU from here and move forward.

Kevin Feige got rid of Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr way too soon thinking he would be fine without them and he knows by now he needs them and other legacy characters the fans will pay money to see such as Hugh Jackman in order to fix this mess and get marvel back on track because Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are the symbols and the saviors of the MCU and the Russo Bros are the best ones to get all these great characters back on screen. The Russo Brothers directing the Secret Wars film with many legacy characters such as Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfields spider-men, the fox X-Men reprising their roles, all the legacy avenger characters that the fans actually care about such as Vision, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers it will be an awesome film
