In regards to testing the map pool, it makes sense to do it against anyone outside of the Majors. With the top 4 being so far ahead of the bottom 8, the online points aren’t super important because the top 4 should be basically locked for champs. I’m fine with map pool expansion against anyone outside of the events. Assuming that these online matches really give confidence to pros is a little faded.

Scump said the same thing about pool hill on 6 star - just drain the water out. Then you don’t have to move the hill and it becomes a lot less cheese. Still a weird hill for sure but no water involved could improve it

I agree with zero, I feel like when optic plays a top 4 team, they should not be testing maps, you don’t want to give faze,subliners or ultra any type of confidence that they can beat you. You should be vetoing what they like, keep them uncomfortable all year and beat them! optic testing maps is just giving faze more delusion that they can’t be beat on those maps. In my honest opinion, OpTic played well as a whole and should have closed it out 3-0. As Trei said Shotzzy world classed. Shotzzy said himself that they were testing the map pool against the top team to see how they performed. There's no point playing a low tier team on those maps because they're going to beat them regardless. If they dont test different maps again the number 1 team in the world then when are they going to get a good chance to do it again?

I get the desire to scapegoat but we cant put it all on pred man. They played the best team in the league and lost by inches. One of the best matches of the year. They lost 2 4v2’s on highrise search, and lost in a similar manner on control. Strategically they should fix mistakes but individually i think they’re playing great

5v5, stims and hardscoping down lanes with 4 teammates to play pinch and cuts makes it less impressive imo compared to running at everyone all year like it’s ranked play because your that much better than everyone else. And as much as I love formal being the main AR similar to cell he was sitting back in headys half the time, that play style is gonna have higher KD’s than how scump played in AW so using KD is such a brain dead way to rank these imo

2:02:18 can trei explain why his optic vs faza match was so crucial to win, both teams are projected winners bracket, theres new maps in the rotation and old maps removed, this is an ideal time to get practice against good top4 competition before LAN, are they supposed to square up against Seattle on 6star to prepare for faze on LAN??? Scump and crim weren’t playing anywhere near the competition Cold War or Bo4 Simp was playing. If you deny that you’re simply not living in reality. Scump and Crim were playing nobodies for 95% of their championships. As soon as the league transitioned to be competitive top to bottom (the CDL) all of a sudden Scump and crim stopped winning. That’s always been the case going back to before bo2 when everyone was team jumping to build better rosters every few weeks instead of roster advantages being locked in like they are under contracts now. This ain’t some pro athletic sport where we can say the players have developed physically or health and recovery has gotten better it’s people sitting in a chair in their bedroom putting in time. No different to now you just don’t like that your favourite player now isn’t the best ever. The stats don’t even back it up either scump was avenging a 1.11 before retiring to do content he was a top 5 sub in the league and top 10 player a decade after his best year😂 crim won a ring and multiple events 7 years after his prime. Karma at the start of every cod absolutely runs everyone in 8’s and 2k’s before the pros grind out the game and get nerdy which he just can’t be bothered to do now he’s old. These guys are legit just that good same way there’s a few players in the league now like that now including simp and hydra and Cellium they’ll go down as top 10’s all time but if someone was to say a decade from now they had easy comp just because it was a handful of years ago makes absolutely no sense😂

@@HenriTradesback in their day scrap hydra dashy and pred would’ve already left their orgs to form a god squad to beat faze at this point in the year but contracts stop that happening now but you wanna claim it’s harder now when we have faze with 3x top 10 players and the rest split across 3 teams that can’t leave because their locked in by contracts……don’t think you thought that one through

Also. Before this year all optic could do was beat Faze but couldn’t win a major and now they beat others like Toronto they could never beat and can’t beat Faze. It’s legit series to series with these top 4 teams. Just stop with the BS.

Always agree with zero but what's the point "testing maps" against the worse teams? Chances are you're gunna win anyways so it's not really testing. Testing them against the top 4 teams makes perfect sense whether you've beat them or not.
