I doubt it, even though its possible. Still doesnt explain why loki didnt vanish. You can say he timeslipped but we actually see either of them leave during the blast regardless of seeing them use those abilities elsewhere.

Guys its actually just a very simple answer here: They aren't proper TVA employees. They weren't placed there as employees of the TVA, and therefore the rules and modes of the TVA don't affect them. So, when FAIL SAFE MODE is activated, the employees are the people it knows about, it doesn't have any parameters or directives about people who weren't expected to be there.

Totally agree.... to add to what you mentioned.... let's remember season one... when someone causes a Nexus Event they are taken away from time, and brought to the TVA. Then Renslayer decided if you are pruned or processed... If you're pruned that brings you to the end of time.. So.... I believe that if you're processed, they mess with your mind... They erase all your memory, give you a new memory, a new name, and a position in the TVA... We do know that everyone in the TVA are Variants... Loki and Sylvie never went through any of this... they actually have memories of when they were in their timelines.... I believe that's why none of that effect them both...

It’s interesting how Renslayer and Miss Minutes gave young Victor Timely the TVA guidebook. Loki gave 1994 OB the guidebook too. Makes me wonder if something else is going on.

The temporal energy wave didn’t reset them, the Fail Safe mode did. So that only affects TVA agents. Loki and Sylvia aren’t TVA agents, therefore it doesn’t affect them. Sylvie probably just left with her TemPad. I don’t think it’s anything more than that

Food for thought: What qualifies someone to be a TVA agent? If all agents are variants, then wouldnt it make sense to say that all variants have the same potential to be agents? What's the threshold? Are Loki Nexus beings?

@@Kency09I think the difference is probably that the original TVA agents were probably appointed by he who remains, and when he was making the TVA agents he probably chipped them in some way so they have a specific temporal aura that confirms they’re a TVA agent

I will be the first to admit I am wrong, even on the latest BR video I said no one wanted an Echo series but seeing that trailer has me looking forward to it! The aesthetic genuinely looks so good, completely different and way outside the normal marvel formula, I think the violence and fight choreo will save it, I really need to learn how not to judge something based of a small personal opinion, Echo is interesting I just didnt think theyd pull off a series but Marvel you got me on board with this one

Why do Loki and Sylvie remember? Loki remembers because there is no place to put them. Loki was pulled from time, there is no place to put him back in. Sylvie remembers maybe because she has he who remains Tempad? Maybe? honestly I think she knew her surroundings were spaghetti-ing, and she herself went to a TVA that was no longer there. so she went to find everyone herself and saw with her own eyes. I don't think she saw the loom explode.. i think she was reset to where she left that day to go find Renslayer.

I thought there would be more to those books tbh and there were questions from episode 4 they didnt answer, the timeline is done it just blew up, yet there's still a version of the TVA he can travel to, Loki is still standing there, Sylvie can get spaghetti'd but Loki can't? They need the collective aura of EVERYONE in that room yet no Timely? So much left I don't think they will answer and lets see if they can really stick this landing

I think the timeline that the TVA and He Who Remains castle is on at the end of the time is the sphagettified timeline that we just witnessed…what is left of it is what you see at the end of time….i think Voss said something similar at the beginning of season 1.

The Alcatraz part they sorts did the same thing with loki in season 1. Their were two guys who escape in 1962 witch people still think made it. Expedition Unknown did an episode on it. Take it like KC was their but then was pulled out of tine with Loki so then onle 2 escaped instead of 3?

I think Slyvie still has her memory because she is still in fact a Loki herself..and they might share some similar powers. Sucks that they won’t keep Majors apart of saga, only way I would accept this is if Loki travels back to the end of time and ends up killing Slyvie to save multiverse.

Every other time Loki timeslips to some place or time he was, there were 2 Loki's, i.e., when he pruned himself or saw himself holding the TVA handbook. The last time he timeslipped in S02E05, he went into his old body, so there was only the one Loki. Why do you think that is?

My question is about the variants which confuses me a little bit. If this episode was an origin story it makes it seems like the characters we know are different than the ones at the TVA. Since, there memories were wiped. But this is before they got to the TVA so are they variants or not? It makes it seems like there variants… I don’t where I’m going with this but I’m a little confused about that.

The people in the tva got their time lines pruned. So the branched time lines we see is Loki time traveling. He went to the past. He found out how to control his time slipping. So he got to meet the tva people before they got taken from their time lines

Every single person has variants. Therefore everyone is technically a variant. Loki, sylvie, mobius, Brad, Kang, cap, iron man, doctor strange. Everyone is a variant.

Well once you have memory wipe technology, you can memory wipe as many times at any point of time for the sake of your plot to justify it so no need to question Marvel now. Any question about memories exist, just say there were memory wiped just 5 minutes before the scene

But if Loki uses the timeslip to go back to before the Loom explodes, did the events of him giving the book to Ob and assembling them all etc even happen? or do those branches reset, like remember, you can't change a Nexus point, but you can change the circumstances up until them, as we saw in What If Dr Strange Episode. Christine always died, she just died in different ways. Since OB remembered Victor Timely giving him the Manual or at least teaching him the things, Do you think that will be one of the changes Loki has to make, instead of letting Timeley out on the bridge to fix the loom, he tasks him with going back in time or whatever to meet OB or leave a package at the post office Back to the Future style, so that one day OB recieves all the info he needs. The nexus point being the passing of information, not necessarily WHO gives him the information.

Honestly, I so badly wanted Sylvie and Loki to have a deep connection or god powers reason as to why they retained their memory, but I have to agree with all the many many comments saying that they just aren't part of the TVA fail safe reset.

19:08 yesss it wasn't just me thinking that, lets go Maude! For me, when it was revealed that HWR was a Kang variant who is more like Immortus I liked it a little because I'm sure in the comics Kang thinks or it's hinted to that he might be HWR at the end or the fourth time keeper I can't remember 😅 so it added to the theory but it was just the last TVA member I believe, so what if OB is the last TVA agent, Kang won the war and took over then buried him in the TVA created the "sacred timeline" leading to this and Loki was the one who brought these guys into it all

Mobius' wife didn't leave him. She was snapped. thats why he doesn't want to look on the timeline, because something tells me he already did, She came back in 2024, but she came back to a Mobius who never left. Mobius's timeline was pruned.. He can never return.

Let me get this straight about what are the events that might have caused the branch in the timeline. 1. Casey: escaping Alcatraz 2. B-15: maybe helping someone as a doctor, which she wasn't supposed to 3. OB: putting the book in the library 4. Mobius: what did he do now? I don't understand what is mobius's nexus event? Selling a jet ski? Or was it all a lie. Why did they select random individuals then?

So, we find out, from OB, that Loki was subconsciously controlling his time slipping... How did he subconsciously know what to show himself? And, why does he, now that he can control his time slipping consciously, go back to his body in that present instead of being duplicated?

Here's a theory for ya: Mobius's boys play with matches and die in a tragic fire accident because Mobius was not around to watch over. (He was with Loki. They would not have died if he had stayed). And this is the reason he chooses the TVA, It's too painful for him to lose his boys, and he prefers to forget. What do you think about this theory?

Wait, why is this even confusing? She teleported herself out as it was getting destroyed. They didn't lose their memories because of the TVA getting destroyed. They are on different branches and she went to one of them.
