I’ve said it for years and a million times by now, but Infamous Iron Man works for an MCU. In fact, the stand alone Doom movie is genius. Call it Iron Man 4, misdirection and rumour abound. Then have that villain turn, filled with pathos

What if, pre secret wars. They do this big Doom origin film. Post credits scene is him discovering and killing the entire council of Kangs by himself. Kind of takes care of your secret wars lead in. After the tragic childhood and teen years. I’d also have him study at kamartage’ briefly before getting kicked out by the ancient one for using forbidden magic, attempting to get to his mother. Then, he heads to America, where he finds his way using some of his already established cunning and abilities. This leads him into a think tank where he gets a genius grant to attend college where he is guided to attend a certain school by the voice of his mother (actually Mephisto?), and this is how he meets Reed, Sue. He feels the call back home after closing his study’s and turns down work with Pym that Reed takes. He then returns home, finding himself in a leadership position in the rebellion. Where he repurposes some Ultron tech just after Sakovia, to help over throw the Baron. He then consolidates power for a few years and gives his people good lives. While preparing for threats from the unknown. Maximizing his efforts after feeling powerless when the snap happens. Something along those lines. Now, if F4 rly takes place in the 1960s or the 1960’s of another universe. You’d have to tweak somethings, but it could all still work.

Hector got out of that "Why can't Dr. Doom be a female?" super smoothly lmao. I personally couldn't care less as long as Doom is portrayed great.

I like the idea of a DOOM movie. Mephisto, Wanda, Reed and Sue could be a great part of the supporting cast. He could feel like a Dracula character. In the end, he can turn into the devil making the deal to save the multiverse using both science and magic

I think you guys are on to something with the Molecule Man. They would just have to change his name from Owen Reese to throw a little okey doke on the comic fans.

Magneto is an AMAZING character, arguably one of the best comics characters of all time, but he's not a bit enough villain to be the big bad. I'm not saying he's not big enough as in like strong enough or popular enough, but he's simply just not evil enough. He always has justifiable motivations for his actions, and is willing to team up with heroes when facing terrible threats to mutants or the world. Sure, there have been some character assassinations like Morrison, but even then he's at the most a global villain, and no power-up to make him multiversal would be at all interesting.

My takes as I listened/watched: Magneto: After nearly 25 years on film, he's played out. And I couldn't be happier that he was done so well for so long. Doom: I never forgot where Mark Waid, in his FF run pitch, wrote that Doom "would rip the head off a baby and drink his blood to prove he was smarter than Reed Richards." I also remember how Grant Morrison had Susan Richards ask him, "Why have you chosen to be this way? Why don't you cure cancer or something really great?" The Big G: My favorite Marvel characters are the FF (which I count as one character), Surfy and T'Challa, but Galactus and Surfy are my favorite characters in all of SciFi fantasy. I hope Marvel remembers what the BreakRoom seems to forget or diminish--that Galactus, the child of Eternity, according to writer-artist John Byrne, gives planets a test to pass. (Talk to Voss about Galactus, BreakRoom folks!) I agree with Hector that he belongs in the Eternals' world. Beyonder: Never got why he was popular. I guess he's the comics equivalent of a Robert Heinlein/"Day Earth Stood Still"-type character. I can live without him in the MCU. Mephisto: I think he never got better than his Satan-tempting-Space-Jesus of Surfy Vol. 1, no.3, released the year of my birth, but I like the ideas the BreakRoom outlined here.

Love the show as usual. Pitch for a Disney+ Searchlight Marvel Mini focused on the new big bad(s). A game of manipulation between Doom and Mephisto. Whose playing whom? Earth's heroes are just pawns between the Masters. Maybe offers a surprise end where the Master Manipulator Loki was behind it all, pulling the threads of his Time-Tree.

Mephisto is like a sports team that only 'wins' on his home turf... but i want him half liz hurley, half Tim Curry in Legend. Marvel should do an Original Sin Trilogy where it shows every characters one time with a Devil, Like What If?, but somehow better. Forget the Lunchables, I'd love y'all talking about Yellow #5

I think Marvel should start culling the heroes and villains a bit before the team up movies and start a new one with mutants in the mix. But it's not too late for that now if they stick with the current release schedule.

Although I’m commenting before finishing the video at the moment lol, I would love Doom because I really need some FF, Silver Surfer and a real Galactus.

I'll start by saying that any one of these suggestions could be interesting to see as the big bad of the Multiverse Saga/villain for Secret Wars if they don't end up recasting Kang, but I feel like they'll probably recast Kang. I'm in agreement with Jacki, Doom absolutely needs his own project or franchise and needs to be stretched out over time. I wouldn't doubt he'd be in Secret Wars in some capacity, but they definitely shouldn't just blow their chance with him by having him be the main bad guy for Secret Wars. Molecule Man could be interesting. I do like the idea of him being a villain in the Fantastic Four movie and then moving on to Secret Wars and being super powerful there. That said, I don't know if he's big bad material for a whole Saga. As for Galactus, I feel like it's too soon to even be considering him for Secret Wars aside from a credits scene. I really think he'd be best utilized as the villain for the next Saga, this looming ethereal threat that no one knows anything about or how to stop or when he'll be there or anything like that. Also, if you're that worried about him not being enough of a big bad for a whole Saga, that would be the perfect time to do his Abraxas story. Mephisto could be interesting as well, I do like the idea of the Incursions messing with his realm and his plans or whatever. That said, I think they'd probably like to keep Mephisto more as a magical villain, perhaps as a villain for the rumored Midnight Suns project, a way to bring the team together and everything. Also, while I don't think they'd necessarily do this, I did have a thought that Mephisto and Kang are working together and that all the stuff people don't like about the current MCU was manipulation by Mephisto to help Kang get to where he wants to go. Beyonder could be fun, though I don't think that's the character they'd use, but it would be interesting to see. Hector's idea for the Maker is interesting. I've previously heard him proposed as the villain of the Fantastic Four movie, and I'm not too keen on that idea, but having him be the Miles Teller Reed that's come to the Sacred Timeline Earth for Secret Wars could be interesting. I don't know that they'd want to use that lesser known of a villain to general audiences for that and I'm not sure Miles would want to come in and do the role. a Multiversal Magneto could be interesting (also yes Brandon, Mutants do already exist in the Sacred Timeline). That said, I don't know that audiences would really be interested in seeing the Sacred Timeline Magneto after seeing him as the villain of Secret Wars as it would kinda be the Doom problem all over again, what Doom is to the Fantastic Four and Marvel as a whole Magneto is to the X-Men and Marvel as a whole. You need to allow Magneto to stretch out and do his thing in the same way you need to with Doom. Arishem and the Celestials could be fun, though I don't know what they'd necessarily have them do or that people would want to see them after Eternals or anything like that. They could have more of an impact with a Galactus Saga though in that Galactus could be like a rogue Celestial or something as some theories suggest. I don't know if it could work, but maybe a character like Michael Korvac or Matthew Malloy or someone like that could work for something like this, again assuming of course they don't recast Kang, but they'll probably recast Kang.

I need Logan’s history pre and in ww2. Some mutants are longer lived due to the mutant gene so baby Erik can still be rescued from internment in part by Cap and Logan. After secret wars they can just say they’ve always been here in the slightly altered soft reboot time line. But they didn’t start to grow in numbers until after the snap. Charles kept the few that were here hidden. The only difficult part work be explaining why Erik has remained quiet over time. Maybe something triggers secondary mutations in him and Charles that brings them up to the level we know. I also think doing something with a long lived Charles who used his abilities to track others like him over the years. Trying to collect everyone to figure out what it is they are.

I love the way Grin says stuff. The 616 mutants HAVE fought alongside our hero's, but the same way Prof X would have had to if Hector was on the team in the 60's, Charles Xavier used to Wholesale wipe entire towns and people of between hours and days worth of Time. If we don't see more it's bc events like Mday happened or Decimation or the Genocide in Genosha. What If??? Ever since the Eternals the X-Men have been hanging out in Tiamat to make sure no one tries to use it to finish off the mutie scum???

The only characters that could be use as the next big bad would be Dr Doom. Hes the only one that fights against the Avengers and Fantastic 4.

Galactus wasn't the big bad in secret wars, but he was there kicking it. I think it should be more like the FF was trapped in the negative zone for like 15? Years. Otherwise Thanos would never have gotten this close to earth. Bc Reed unlike Tony has stumbled on tons of threats, that's part of how we didn't need the Avengers until 2012

I feel like marvel really missed the beat on setting up doom so now it’s just not enough build up. He should be a thanos or a Loki, not 1 movie villain like ultron. No matter what the F4 movie is and whether the team are from an alternative universe or 616, he could’ve always existed (even alongside a team who disappeared) in 616. Should’ve been teased in black panther with Latveria, seen the triumph and torment story (set up with Wong becoming sorcerer supreme) with doctor strange, then Ofc be built up further but not be THE villain of F4, could’ve even had ties to street level stuff with spider-man and thunderbolts. They should’ve always built him up as they were doing with Kang and then reveal their connection too, do doom could then become the big bad/saviour god doom in secret wars (which the imagery kind of looks like God Loki at the end of Loki S2. Almost set up perfectly for doom to take his spot at the end of time with kang/beyonders powers

I like all these ideas and think Doom would be great but I feel Doom would do better in the next saga. Only because we have no hints towards him at all and if they are going to Make doom our big bad, we need to know really about him soon. I would hate to have him be rushed as well BUT I think we all are forgetting about Wanda! BOOM your Multiverse threat is right there and we already got a little taste of her. You could even still tie in Mephisto if you really wanted too

Doom carries the baggage of having been the baddie in 3 bad movies; won't work. Thanos worked because he was new and had a sufficient story to make him a threat. Galactus won't work for the same reason as Doom. We've done the big space baddie; they screwed up the big interdimensional baddie; it's time for a threat from a new direction. As we learned years ago; you should fear what lies beneath your feet. "From beneath you it rises" -- The new big threat should be......The Mole Man!!!
