It soo good to see a black woman speaking on this topic. I am 4 weeks post breast augmentation and I have a consultation for removal next week. I’ve NEVER felt like this in my entire life. Literally a few days after surgery my body started reacting crazy! I knew about BII but never thought it would happen to me. Ladies pleaseeeeeee be careful. This is not even a joke. We know our bodies more than these Drs!

Urghhh i have been wanting to get a BA but researching to see if the BII is related to certain race as i have mostly seen caucasian women. You are the first black woman i have come across which means could happen to anybody I'm black as well

“It’s not cheap at all” you’re so right! My explant was so expensive…way more than I spent getting them in. I hope you’re doing ok!

im happy for you that you've managed to get those toxic bags out of you, but very very sad for myself... as im extremely ill at the moment and have been since 2017 (when I got them ) because of the implants but obviously haven't got the money to get them out of me and get the left and reduction done , cuz it is verrrrry expensive. so pray for me that I will get them out one day and hopefully will be a happy day for me. good luck on your recovery

Good to see the explant shift or choosing against implants! There is a lifetime of future surgeries ahead with breast implants that isn't discussed... aged implant exchanges, capsular contractures, weighted implant breast lifts, plus numbness, etc (not to mention the serious BII health issues).

I hope your surgery goes well or went well. I’ve only had my implants for 6 months and I’m getting them removed next month because of the symptoms. I feel horrible for putting my body through so much. I hope women can learn from our experiences and save themselves. You all are beautiful how you are.

Thank you for this video. Wish I found this before my surgery. I’m 7days post op & I’m already thinking if this was the best choice. I’m depressed, I already been on bed rest for 1 week, no because I have an open incision, I have to be on bed rest for another week. I think a lot of women sugar coat the recovery.

I went to Miami as well in 2015 by 2018 breast implant illness took over. I had capsular contractor as well. I have a permanent dent in my breast when they removed them smh not worth it!

I only have one breast implant, ome was made bigger, one smaller.. the one thats in has been in me since i was 15..im now 34.. im getting sharp pains, its gone rock hard, its gone higher.. ugh.. got an emergency appointment at a breast clinic on 17th Aug.. but i dont have the money to fix it.. nhs put it in me in the first place 😭

Women need to stop calling it Breast implant illness, it's an allergic reaction to the implants, if you tell your doctor you have breast implant illness, you Doctor will defend the implant to be SAFE, it's not the implant that's making you sick, its your body rejecting them. Words mean everything, hope this helps.

It’s funny how black women constantly put white women and mixed race women down for simply being alive yet you come on here telling your story about BII 😅 if it was a mixed race woman y’all wouldn’t feel no way so 🤷🏽‍♀️
