Hello, my name is Alexander Damron. I received my medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina followed by an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency at Baylor College of Medicine. I then received subspecialty training in Breast Pathology at the University of Pennsylvania.
I put this video together to hopefully shed some light on what happens to your breast biopsy in the time you are waiting for the results. This is just an informative video to help you better understand how we process your tissue and why it takes a couple days to get the diagnosis to your treating clinician.
I hope you find the video informative, and hopefully it may ease some of the anxiety many of you may experience as you wait for your results.

Thank u so much for explaining this. i had a stereotactic biopsy on 5.12.22 and the wait has been hard, but your video helped me be less anxious. Thanks for posting this video.

@@bella_signora_ruth1315 yes in was not cancer. Praise God! Recommended I get diagnostic mammogram every 6 month because of my family history of cancer.

I've got a large lump been feeling tired and sick for a while had a biopsy yesterday I've been frightened for weeks thank you for your video really needed to hear this x

I got my biopsy today was going OK until I started bleeding alot so she took whatever little bit she got also she was able to leave the thing they put inside will the pathologist be able to make a diagnos with that she had to stop because of bleeding

Sometimes bleeding can complicate the biopsy procedure. Ultimately it will be decided by the tissue they were able to get prior to the bleeding and if the pathologist and radiologists feel the results are concordant with the imaging findings. Wish you all the best!
