Great edit using a great song! I feel like this captures them so beautifully. I know not everyone loves the teenager-esque "dance" that's happening between them, but I think those moments are sweet. Even with some awkwardness and uncertainty between them, I still see Elizabeth much freer and lighter overall, and there's a special ease to both of them when they're together. There is deep comfort in their relationship underneath the mild uncertainty that comes with them openly exploring their feelings for each other at the same time, hoping the other still feels the same way but not knowing for sure. While I never thought Lucas was a good fit for Lucas, I think Elizabeth did love him in his own way (and was definitely attracted to him, hence the scene in his office back in season 8), but while they've shared interests and backgrounds, they've never really connected emotionally the way that Nathan and Elizabeth have (because of Nathan's job, because of the kind of life they want to lead in Hope Valley, and because of being single parents). Even though some people read the kinds of moments included in this video as immature, I think it's sweet and natural and layered over a really mature and solid foundation for the two of them.

No it did not surprise me. I loved the scene. It was funny and loving. Elisabeth certainly enjoyed it and I am pretty sure others did too.
