Күн бұрынEvery weekend off-road racing driver, Casey Currie’s feet are touching dirt and the gas pedal. His career has taken him all over the world with a highlight being his threepeat at the Baja 1000 in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Full-scale U4 race trucks are a unique breed. Not only are they expected to cruise at 90MPH across the desert, but also have the torque and driveline strength to get over rock formations that look impossible to navigate.
One reason Casey Currie and his U4 race truck works so well with the Rey platform was the featured independent suspension up front and solid axle in the rear. Of course with Losi, drivers get as much detail as possible while preserving the performance and durability the Rey platform is known for in the RC racing community. The combination is a one-way ticket to victory after victory, bred for the desert and ready to impress.

If, unlike the Super Rock Rey, this has enough space to fit a sensored motor in, I’ll get one for sure. Have the perfect location, but I prefer sensored motors. :-)

Beautiful footage 😃 I would love to get both the 1:1 and the new 1:10 RC 😉 What I really like is that the Independent Front Suspension (IFS) looks far more ground space then with the couple of Element RC Enduro rigs 👌👍 Good job 💪 Cheers

This one is pretty large. Hemistorm said it was about 1/7 scale which is big enough for me.

@@ikemort6427 oh yeah!? I thought it was a 1/10th .. yeah that's pretty cool .so that means it's a different longer chassis than the Rock Realy or Baja rey

I've never once broke one of those pins on any of my 5 Reys. Lost yes, broke not one time.

My Rock Rey did that all the time. I fixed it by drilling the holes a bit larger and using thicker Traxxas pins and hexs. Same on the driveshafts

Personally I’d like to see a 1/5th scale monster truck from you guys my LMT is super cool but I’d like it to be bigger. Or smaller as well a 24th scale would be sweet to.

Looks awesome! Ive seen that the rear sway bar is not functional and it still uses the standard smaller sway bar. Why is that? Too much flex at that part of the chassis?

The non functional sway bar is purely to make it look scale however we are considering option part to make it functional :) the smaller sway bar is a standard REY part that does help the rear end of the car stay flat while cornering

since scales are all mixed up in the industry the scale is referring more to the the power system and not the actual size. We plan to start to mention the wheel base a lot more! Think of this... a 1/10 drag car is way bigger than a 1/10th touring car...but both fit the same 1/10 motors and ESC

Hey Fern, the car we ran over was done on purpose but only after we accidentally ran it over coming down the rocks where Casey couldn't see the RC in front just given the angle and how much higher he sits.

I think theyre also taking advantage of using some existing parts so its not perfectly scale. Rear suspension design is different too. The real one has the trailing arms above the links.
