I call my Kiwi2 “U2” because it ‘Rattles and Hums’ when I use it 😂

I wonder if the chemicals they use in processing are setting off your dermatitis. Just a thought. Lovely yarns.

Now, there is a thought, but I would have expected it with all fibers, not just certain ones xx

In total agreement there. I dislike the sliding hooks as i keep getting tangled up and it wont feed onto the bobbin. The old hook system works better for me although you dont then get an even fibre spread on the bobbin! 😳 xx

The kromski is perfect for the bobbin filling and sliding hooks, and the wheel is just me. lol, I want another kromski but different. Happy spinning x

Eider would be a good outer work sweater. SOUTHDOWN is the new Merino 😉☺️

Hmm. I might not be keen on it either if it’s a bit scratchy. I just tried some Masham, another British breed not in the fleece and fibre source book, and I would call that a bit on the scratchy side too but not awful. Maybe for outerwear. Where I bought it it was advertised as 33 micron but WoW say theirs is 38-44 😮

Yes I've tried w.o.w Masham years ago didn't like that at all it was another grey suffolk for me was that but I have a small amount of washed fleece Masham to see how different it is xx

Fun enjoyable video as always. If the fibre itches you then I stay clear of it. It’s funny the things that can irritate fingers, I’m knitting an Aran jumper and hate doing the moss stitch on it. It’s all bumpy and irritating to my fingers. I’ve done the back and two fronts and am halfway up the first sleeve. Only one more sleeve to go then. Sooner I’m finished the better. Would you recommend the fibre stash book.

Thank you so much. Yes I would recommend the fleece and fiber source book it's like my fiber bible. There is one for spinning yarns that I really want too tamsin from BF fiber Arts has it and she recommends that xx

I have an Ashford Traditional and Traveller, they are both from the 70s-80s. I've never used a newer wheel or a different brand, mostly due to affordability. I find the Traveller a bit finicky but it's the only one that fits in my little car.
@sadiesspincraft631913 күн бұрын
I hear you om the price, but I'm learning that if you get one that fits you perfectly, don't keep buying more, lol, I do believe I will stick with my kromski as its perfect for me xx
