I know Katie Harmon and she is the most beautiful person inside and out. I still tear up every time I watch her win...so deserved. She was a wonderful, kind, caring role model for our injured country. God bless her.

I had the pleasure to see Katie life at an event where I was catering. I will never forget the reaction of the audience once she started to speak. You could tell she studied Speech & Communications. Amazing voice & delivery!

I had a memory of this day just pop in my mind tonight. I went to church with Katie and her sister Stacy when we were kids. Love her and her family!

THE most difficult and saddest Miss America Pageant in history. 9/11 had occurred on Tuesday; the crowning was on Saturday. Also, Danza was the worst ever host.

How on earth did Oregon and Massachusetts beat out Tennessee? Guess they are telling the truth when they say it is not a beauty pageant.

I agree, Tennessee was the prettiest, but Oregon had a better talent segment and answered her interview questions a lot better. Oregon isn't bad in terms of looks either...wayyyyyy better than Massachusetts who looked like an unfashionable 40-something year old lady with her outdated hairstyle...

I was just a little girl when I was watching this pageant and I was praying they wouldn't pick Massachusetts as the winner. I didn't think she was pretty at all and her hair was so outdated and the ugliest thing. I actually can't believe she got runner-up. I know Miss America's focus is more than looks, but I don't think anything else was special about Massachusetts either.
